Tommy,

Thanks for your additions, they seem strangely familiar somehow...

Littlebiddle,

Looks like another golf course shot. Golf courses and IR, hmmm... Looks like another natural photo op for IR.

One nice thing about golf courses is they do some great landscaping and I don't have to travel far to get to one!

OK, thanks everyone for all the info, and thanks Eric for posting this link on my thread asking about IR. I don't know how I missed this before.

So, I am now committed, (or maybe should be! LOL) to IR. I have and old cannon rebel XT that's just been collecting dust and I am sending it off to Life Pixel to be converted to IR. I CANNOT WAIT!

For my use, this just seemed the best option for me. YAHOO, EXCITED!!!

Tracey,

I am also excited to see what you and your converted Rebel can do in IR.

From the initial post on this thread:

For some amazing work and a UH type forum on IR visit here:
http://irphotocom.proboards.com/index.cgi?

Please post here when you get your camera back and have some photos to share.

Soon you'll be posting IR shots like these:

Great shots as usual! You're one of the reasons I decided to get into some IR stuff, I just love all your pics!

I've been bookmarking these sites, I'll be sure to post when I get my camera back, and get a grip on this new platform!

I'm glad that I was influential in giving someone else the IR bug. I love it!

I haven't gotten into IR but playing around with filters to bring out the bridge structure, liked the results of an IR filter ...and seeing what it does on the others posted here, may try it more often.

Elle,

That looks like a negative B&W, something about the brightness just doesn't look right to me; interesting photo though. Is that a post processing filter?

Ironwork bridges to fare well with IR, here's a couple I shot in color IR then converted to B&W.

EricLPT - Yes..this was a Nik filter that was supposed to give an IR appearance on a colored photo. Have to agree that it does look like a negative now that you mentioned it.

Elle,

I'm fascinated by the vehicle in your photo, it looks like it is sitting on the ground, I don't see any clearance between the bumper and the pavement. Seems like it should be making sparks!
