As part of our 2006 vacation we had 3 nights in the hotel at Mammoth Hot springs in Yellowstone Natonal Park (Wyoming, USA)
This series was photographed in the evening in the grounds of the hotel.
The elk freed himself without any intervention from the rangers.
Thanks for looking.

I'm trying to take more pictures of people. This was taken at Main Beach public park in Laguna Beach. Lens was 50mm f/2.0, 1/2000 sec. First image is sooc. The second is cropped and edited slightly for exposure and to remove distracting elements.
Looking for thoughts on pictures and also beginner tips on street photography. I'm assuming this qualifies as street photography.

I took this picture a few years ago. I liked it, but it was a little bland. I made some minor edits in Lightroom. What do you think?

A news years hike into Upper Bidwell Park and found these Native American Mortars where they would grind seeds and acorns.
They just fascinate me.

These were taken at Ano Neuvo Marine Preserve just north of Santa Cruz, CA-one of my favorite places. Only downside is you can smell the seals from a mile away!! But you do get used to it LOL. Enjoy.

One of the stops on our Rhine River cruise a few years back was Speyer, Germany. "The imperial cathedral in Speyer, officially known as the Cathedral of St. Mary and St. Stephen, is the town's most prominent landmark. Laid out in the form of a Latin cross, it is one of Germany's largest and most important Romanesque buildings, and was intended to be no less than the largest church in the western world when building work began in 1030."

Second stop on our trip was Aruba and I was pleasantly surprised with what I found. It's not a tropical island like I thought it would be.
Aruba turned out to be a volcanic island with some pretty rough ground on the north side and beautiful beaches across the island.

Not a very good picture but one seldom gets snow, ice and a Costa's Hummingbird in the same frame.

Traveling through NM this weekend and stopped to visit the Bosque Del Apache Wildlife Area and it was closed to vehicular traffic due to hazardous conditions and frozen over like the tundra, however foot traffic was still allowed but even then footing was treacherous. Major cold and snow storms had its effect on the Bosque. it was about 12 degrees and wind blowing ~10-15 mph...brrrr. Took a short walk around the first lake and it was totally frozen with little waterfowl in this area except in the canals which had some running water. Eagles on the dead tree in the middle at least 400 years out and a few other critters were scrambling.
A few Northern Shovelers, sparrows and hawks were plentiful. I could hear the cranes and geese in t...
