I'm hoping to travel to Miami, FL to visit relatives in March. Past air travel I used a photo backpack with a camera body, one or two lenses and medications. I'd like to take more lenses, SB 800 flash and a tripod. I don't think I can get all this using carry-on luggage. I'm sure others have had similar concerns. Any suggestions for alternative shipping for my equipment to avoid damage or theft? Thanks.š

I recently acquired the d850 which is a remarkable camera. I have had problems with my software not supporting the RAW photos from the D850. I store them on Microsoft one drive which will support the JPEG but not the RAW photos. I broke down and installed PSCC and LR which does support the RAW. Does anyone know why the RAW from the D850 seems to be different? The software would support RAW from my D5300.

I downloaded Luminar 3 and when I opened it, it looks like it imported all my photos (don't like that - don't want them all in Luminar). I didn't investigate too far because it is slow, but looks like all my photos are in there 3 times.
I then downloaded the update, which is supposed to take care of duplication?, and I still see three of each photo. Anyone know 1)How do I get rid of the duplicates? 2)As an alternative, how do I uninstall the current Luminar3 and reinstall later? Anyone think that will fix the duplication - starting over from scratch?
I'm using Windows10

Happy New Year Fellow Photographers: May 2019 bring creativity, clarity and peace.
I just opened today's blog and there is an advertisement for Painter 2019 by Corel. I am not sophisticated in post processing and am currently using Lightroom (for its cataloging power), Luminar and Aurora. I want to take some of my work into an art-painterly direction and want to know if anyone has experience with this program. I do not know if LR or the other two have the capability to do what I want. I have not seen evidence of that yet.
Any advice greatly appreciated. I love this forum and always learn something new.
All the Best

I want upgrade my graphic card in my Dell Inspiron SE 7720. I read that the card I have is soldered to the mother board and cannot be upgraded. Does anyone know if this is correct?
Thanks

Itās probably time to upgrade my Lightroom from 5.7 to a newer version. It seems that the more I read, the more confused I get (senility?
)
What I want is the newest stand-alone version. I have absolutely no interest in the monthly fee version for my own reasons, so donāt suggest going that route--I'm not interested. Ergo, which LR do I want?
Also, will my current catalog transfer automatically and seamlessly when and if I upgrade? I donāt have time or inclination to build a new catalog. If I have to do that, Iāll probably use the new Luminar.
Thanks in advance for helpful information, John

I have experienced a problem when I transfer images from an SD card to Photos on an iPad Pro using the Apple card reader ( the ādongleā??)that plugs into the lightning port.
Upon inserting the memory card into the slot and then plugging it into the iPad port, the āImportā function is activated and the import begins. (You can select āallā or select only those images you want to import) Depending on how many images you import, the āImport Completeā message will eventually appear. You can then select āKeepā images or āDeleteā from card. DONāT press ādeleteā .
After import is complete, you will see all your imported images on the screen. No problem so far.
Then, remove the card or unplug the adapter from the iPad port, and all the impor...

I recently purchased the Affinity programme as it seems more intuitive than Photoshop. However, I have a feeling that it has slowed down my Mac Pro. Any comments? Thanks

When I use my X-T3 with the 100-400mm lens, I often get brief EVF blackouts when I change focal lengths. I do not think I am pulling my eye away from the sensor that detects the eye but perhaps I am? Is momentary loss of EVF normal under this circumstance or am I doing something wrong in terms of settings/usage? I wear glasses if that makes a difference?

I "inherited" a Promaster Spectrum 7 60-300mm zoom lens.
The box is labelled "Pentax-AR" and the UPC code label says "KPR". The lens mount has "P/R" stamped on it. It has electrical contacts.
I've tried to find out exactly what bodies this lens is supposed to fit. AR is a Konica designation. I tried to put it on a Pentax K-1000. It goes in but does not want to lock.
Can anyone tell me what it is usable on?

I am trying to figure out how to adjust multiple images in LR Mobile. I can adjust a single image easily, but would like to do multiple images from a single adjusted image.
Any advice would be appreciated.

I recently purchased a Nikon used D3S (from a reputable national reseller) to compliment my Nikon D700. I shoot sports, especially D3 college basketball. When importing into Aperture (I know it is obselete), the import order is not in the same order as shot. I would prefer the "correct" sequence. Do I have a setting wrong? do I ???????? How do I correct??

My nephew sent me some pics by E-mail attachments. In the E-mail they show as JPEGs but when I try to download them or send them to PS or Bridge, they show as WEBP and I can't convert them to something that PS can open. I can print them but they don't come out the right size.
