What does this lens fit?

I "inherited" a Promaster Spectrum 7 60-300mm zoom lens.

The box is labelled "Pentax-AR" and the UPC code label says "KPR". The lens mount has "P/R" stamped on it. It has electrical contacts.

I've tried to find out exactly what bodies this lens is supposed to fit. AR is a Konica designation. I tried to put it on a Pentax K-1000. It goes in but does not want to lock.

Can anyone tell me what it is usable on?

Surely you jest. If it was a Minolta mount it would have "M" on it, like the illustration you sent.

Upload a picture of the mount, then maybe we can determine for sure which cameras it will fit. Promaster Spectrum 7 lenses come in a whole variety of mounts.

Pentax K-mount AF lens.

The iris action lever should be
180 opposite the latching hole.

Should work OK on any K body
back to mid 1970s.

To the only serious response, thank you.

Further research supported this, but this particular lens doesn't lock to a K1000 without forcing it, so I won't be using it.

You probably won't be missing much as it is only worth about $23.00 according to one site that I found.

Yeah, I know it isn't anything special, but I hate to junk a lens that could be usable by someone. That's where this one's going!
