I occasionally experience the same issue w/ all/any versions.
two hings may help...
(1) Restart C1 and then attempt a re-edit. This will likely solve the issue, particularly if C1 has been open for an extended period of time (think, not closed overnight...).
(2) open the clone/heal tool as the first layer above the background layer. Clone/heal in "higher" layers in the stack has been known to cause strange issues, including "ghosting" of the clone/heal area.

I began having these same issues 5 years ago, at age 72. I was advised to find a Tai Chi instructor who teaches a form of Tai Chi specifically directed at fall prevention, developed by Dr. Paul Lam. I now do my routine EVERY day (about 20 min). I find that my ability to balance and "change directions" has improved. I have not fallen in 5 years (much to the chagrin of my wife who insisted i get one of the SOS devices to wear). Most significantly, I can stand upright and put on my trousers w/o assistance! Keep moving!!

I am a Mac user in need of an application to sort images into a presentation format. I want sort the images (JPEGs) visually, by their content/appearance, then re-name them to maintain the sort order. Ideally, I'd like to sort using drag-and-drop so I can see the final product as it progresses.
The Presentation/Slideshow "solutions" I've found will only put the images in file-name or date-stamp order, which does not achieve my desired effect. And, most want to have the end result become a video, rather than individual images.
I thought this would be a simple task... but, no.
Anyone have a solution or suggestion?
