Have traveled both domestic and foreign airlines for the last 20 years. I always carry camera and gear as carry-on. Have never had any trouble with tsa people, yet. Used a camera bag until '14 when i got a back-pack for gear. Some day I'll get a vest, too. That should be s good combination!

Question. Want to use - Canon EF-S lens on a Canon 5DIII full frame camera. Is there an adapter that's capable of accomplishing this?? The lens is the Canon 10-22mm.

No! You'll have to "bite the bullet" and get EF (without the "S") lenses. Any adapter would mess with any focal length, depth of field, etc. It's the physics.

I, too, have been looking to up-grade from a T3i. The question is: do I go to a FF or stay with a crop-sensor? FF--I am looking at a 5D-IV; crop-sensor--I think the 7D-II is just about tops.

I'm sure there will be disagreement, but that's my not-so-humble opinion!

Magnificent, Linda! I remember Mt. Adams being like that when I lived in Granger.

Is the Isle of Skye in the inner Hebridese or the outer?

Duane
largest

Skye is the largest of the Inner Hebrides. Mull is another of the Inner group. The Outer are Uist and Lewis set. A visit to both is on my bucket list.

For the O.P.-- Love the photos!!!

June 24 I have a wedding to attend near ASPEN, CO. Leaving the JUNE 17 and driving the entire trip. Stopping at 2 locations in MO. to visit cousins. After the wedding we will be driving to Seattle, WA. and then heading south and hugging the coast in WA and OR, eventually ending up on the Pacific Coast Highway in California. We will take that to LA and then head East to Las Vegas. Then we will head to Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge and after that journey on home. We plan on being gone for about 4 weeks and stopping at SOME of the sites along the way on the west coast and other locations while heading East.

My question is, without stopping at ALL the wonderful sites along the way can we do it in 4 weeks?

I know there will be a lot of suggestions but how about some keys locations to visit?

Thanks.

From my traveling experience, I would say, "Yes, 4 weeks is enough to get quite a few of the best of the sights seen and photographed." Late June will give you quite a bit of fog along the coast if it is hot in the inland valleys. I lived in Eureka and on the Monterey Bay for a number of years, keep that on mind. There probably will be quite a bit of highway maintenance going on in the summertime, too. Lots to keep in mind for a journey like this. I'd like to do the same thing some time, but my wife can't get away from her work more than 9 or 10 days at a time. Enjoy yourbtrip!

The Safari Park of the San Diego Zoo is several miles East of Escondido off the I-15. Great place to visit. Takes just about all day. Between the two places, though, makes all the other zoos in the U.S. look poor. Check maps and your GPS. Enjoy your trip!

Side trip out of Seattle-- Snoqualme Falls. Something you won't find in Jersey! Be sure to check for road closures! If you go to Yosemite, think about Sequoia NP, too. The big trees are astounding. Calif. Highway Dept. has a good website for road closures.

I was a dental assistant in the Army; several of the soldiers got dentures during my tour.

Hey all,

I recently picked up a Canon A-1 (which, by the way, is a fascinating camera). All of my other lenses are M42 screw mounts. I would like to find an adaptor to go on my Canon, in which I could still use my M42 lenses. I have looked all over the web, and I only found two hits. They were both from Europe, and I do not know how reliable they are. My question is, is this type of adaptor even made? And if so, where can I find one?

Cheers!

I picked up an adapter from B&H to use Pentax M42 mount for my Canon T3i.
