"open to print"......
With what???

Same question. I have a new lenovo with win 11 I9 32gig yada yada and not so much as a burp for 4 months. I admit I do not print my own but send them out. Try reading the pics with some other tool. If it reads with another program then the file is ok and suspect what program you are using to "open to print" is in question. Try sending it to someplace like Walgreens to see if it is printable.

See if you printer needs a new driver since you moved to Win 11.

An example of using Photoshop Generative Fill to fix a shot I really wanted to keep

No. 1 is the original shot. I liked it except for the leaf cutting across the birds head. It is often hard to see things like that in the view finder. In years past I would have just deleted the shot.

No. 2 is the finished image

While your deleting remove the green leaf in the upper left.

The only memory cards that have failed on me have been a couple of SanDisk MicroSDs. Still, I think I should play it safe and order replacements for my current SD cards. A couple of my cameras have two card slots, but if one of them fails, that leaves me with just one, and if that fails...

I have two SD cards from July 2022, but the others go back several years. Yes, they work, but how long will they continue working? I've heard too many stories about people taking hundreds of pictures and having them all disappear.

How many spare cars do you have, just in case? Some cards live for long time and others allegedly croak prematurely. If you're truly in an angst tizzy buy many small cards in case you lose one. Then you only have worry about them filling quickly and missing shots while you swap one out.

Fwiw, For all my years with digital, I have yet to have an issue. There are too many unknowns when people have issues with cards. Same for a car!

My skill level is a novice at best, but my brain is now a photographers brain. I find myself looking at every scene as if it were a photoraph. Flowers, insects, birds and wildlife. While looking at photographs I find myself thinking how I could repeat a similar shot. While driving the landscapes are a series of potential photos.
I am confined to a wheelchair so my perspective is a little different but my mind is that of a photographer maybe someday my skill level can match the shots in my brain.
Have a great day

Composition is so important even from a wheelchair. Anyone can take a clear pic especially with the current gear only very few capture that unique look. Your skills will soon catch up. If you can find a local camera club, especially that does polite critiques - invaluable.

I'm summarizing an article I found online - Digital tools that pro photographers like. This is from June of 2015, so the camera choices will be outdated.

Frank Doorho0f - “One of the things that I love to do is work with the modern-day solutions to see your images on your iPhone and iPad immediately."

Brendan Van Son - "For me, it's the smartphone. And, actually, it's quite funny but for the first 3 years I travelled, I didn't have a phone of any sorts with me. But, the rise of Instagram made me decide that I needed to jump on the smartphone bandwagon."

Jimmy Chin - “Being able to build an audience, personally curate images, share them with people around the world, get immediate feedback and have real time interactions between photographer and audience has hanged photography. The access to large audiences can be quite powerful.”

Jake Olson - “My most important tools are my camera, my laptop and Lightroom."

Peter Hurley - “ 'About Me' pages and people’s desire to formulate their own personal brand and establish their digital identity has changed the landscape of headshot photography. For years I mainly had actors coming in for headshots, now I have people from all walks of life.”

Jack Hollingsworth - “Right now the most valuable and treasured tool in my camera bag is my beloved iPhone 6 Plus."

Frederick Van Johnson - “Currently, I shoot with the Panasonic Lumix GH4. For my chosen genre, the fast, light and highly capable mirror-less cameras are ideally suited for being nimble, and "in the moment."

Gary Arndt - “My most important tools are my camera, my laptop and Lightroom. I have to take photos and process them, and I have to do it on the road.”

Jordan Loyd - “I recently picked up a Panasonic LX100. The advances made in this area of photography are incredible."

Eric Kim - “My favorite digital tool is my iPad, which allows me to blog in a minimalist format (with the iA writer pro application), helps me share my photos with other photographers to critique my images in the native Photos" app. Furthermore, I love the VSCO app on my smartphone which helps make my digital mobile images look like film.”

Let's say I have a bunch of pictures grouped together, more than show on the screen. I have to scroll down to see all of them. Is there a way that I can get a picture of the whole group, even though they don't all fit on the screen. Ctrl-- will reduce the size, but not enough for all of them to fit onto the monitor's screen. Basically, I'd like to take a hundred little images and combine them into one.

I can break the images up into groups and then join the groups to make one big picture, but I thought there might be a simpler way.

Use print module in LRc. You can select the number you want on a page.

I upgraded to the current iteration of Light Room, and it is completely foreign from previous editions. Maybe I'm
old fashioned and reluctant to change, but I find the new format to be unworkable, it doesn't recognize a lot of my files, and every thing has changed. If this is the future for Light Room, they have lost me and I'll migrate to another post processing application. Does anyone else had the same problem?

How foreign or better yet how far back a release were you coming from???

The new Point Color feature is absolutely incredible. If you (as I do) use the many color processing features of Lightroom in your post-processing, the Point Color feature is a game-changer. The granularity and precision it affords in color management is extraordinary.

A bit of a learning curve (but not as much as the new UI makes it seem), but well worth the effort. A good starting point is this YouTube video by Julieanne Kost (Everything You Need to Know About Point Color in Lightroom Classic): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fzdg2ZXaKGo. Of course there are already many other videos on this feature, and many more to come no doubt.

For those who do...

Negative Lab Pro is essential for what I'm doing right now, processing old B&W negatives into digital files. I got interrupted yesterday by auto-update and had to re-install LrC 12.5. I wasted more time figuring out what happened than anything... Nate at NLP sent out an email late in the day explaining the issue and the temporary fix.

I THOUGHT I had auto-update OFF. I know I do, now!

I would have thought that NLP or any App that uses LR/PS would/should have participated in a beta test to avoid such a problem.

Must be specific to LR4.4 and I highly doubt anyone on the hog has a release that is that old to help. One of the disadvantages of hanging on to such an antique version is finding support. Do you have any idea of the power of LR today?

I generally save my processed images as JPEG, 1500 px on the long side. When I upload them here, it takes about two minutes, much longer than when I upload them other places. Is that a typical time?

Must be proportional to with the receiving software. No idea what the hog has on the back end. Most of the data I have read suggests 2048 on the long side works best especially for FB.

You failed to mention which Topaz product you are asking about, Sharpen AI, DeNoise AI, Gigapixel AI or Photo AI (all 3). From my experience, these Topaz products are excellent at what the're intended, but are not a full post processing engine. I believe Topaz suggests you start in Topaz before doing other post processing. I have had best results by post processing in LR first then exporting to Topaz Photo AI for DeNoise and Sharpening (no denoise or sharpening in LR). I always start with RAW (to give the greatest post processing potential) unless I just need a quick snapshot for sharing or reference.

Just the opposite from some of big boys and their editing videos. Do color space first and then AI processing and finally LR or PS post.

I was just notified that version 25.0 of Photoshop was available, a version that is supposed to be AI enhanced. I've downloaded it, but haven't tried to dig out exactly what's changed. Is anyone here familiar with these changes? Have you tried anything yet? If so, can you provide some examples where the AI enhanced features were applicable?

Thank you in advance.

Every time yoou update there is a foot print summary of the changes.
