I left after 90 minutes. they emailed me a couple of weeks later and rescheduled.
I'm surprised they didn't bill you for a missed appointment.

My 96-year-old mother had to sit in the waiting room for 2 hours yesterday before moving her to the eye doctor's exam room. Another 30 minutes in there before she saw a doctor. Pretty sad.
My old man had an eye appointment that he had to wait for over an hour for. He laid into them for that, he was that kind of guy. After that when he had an eye appointment he got in right away.

Tom, what discussion of exquisite French automobiles would be complete without the inclusion of Lt. Columbo's 1959 Peugeot 403? I'm a little surprised, that this wasn't mentioned...aren't you? "Oh, just one more little question, m'am..."
One of these Peugeots, not the convertible, was the first car I bought when I was stationed at Hickam AFB in Honolulu, Hawaii from 1965 to 1968. One thing I think most people aren't aware of is that Honolulu is lousy with cockroaches. After having the car for about a week I opened the truck and dozens, if not a hundred, roaches scurred around trying to find a place to hide. I got a can of Raid, closed the windows and emptied that can in the car. The next morning there were dead roaches all over the place. Swept and vacuumed them out and didn't have a problem with that car after that as long as I had it, which wasn't that long - at least as far as the roaches were concerned. Other problems, yes, but no roaches.

I've seen that situation before where the ring gear was missing some teeth. Pushing or rocking usually did the trick.
Also a twist with a socket wrench and breaker bar on the crankshaft pulley nut would work, especially if you had an automatic tranny.

I worked at ford in the late 70’s they had the ford Granada which had a galvanized cowl. The paint wouldn’t stick so we would sand down with 80 grit and prime and then paint
I had a 70's era Ford Granada but didn't have any problems with the paint - which was a kind of ugly green color. However, I had a Ford E350 van that had the paint peeling off the roof. I would drag out my ladder and touch-up the paint which wasn't too much of a problem since the van was white. It did have that humongous V-10 engine that I wish it didn't have but it did have something I did need - a wheelchair lift for the wife. That lift also came in handy when I needed to transport large, heavy items like a snow throwing machine, a compressor and other things.

One year, probably 2020, we had no one show up. It used to be that the street would be full of cars that were full of kids.
Last year I bought an $18.00 bag of candy at Costco. Want to know how much was left at end of the night? All of it. Didn't have any T-or-Ters. I'm still debating where I will buy any candy this year. If I do it won't be much and it will be something I like.

My son-in-law was a supervisor building those two Memorial Gates at each end of that pond. He spent a couple years in OKC on them.

I always know if the power went out because my clocks are flashing.
The thing with the quarter at the bottom of the container will let you know the power was out for quite a while. With the flashing clocks the power could have been out for only a second.

I was sorry to hear about these two last night. McCallum certainly had a long career. I remember him as Ilya Kuryakin.

David McCallum, 90

Gail Hunnicut, 80
Since I never watched the Man from U.N.C.L.E. I had to look up Ilya Kuryakin.

BTW, it's not Gail according to Google.

$500 for a color on a Jeep? See this weeks Auotextremist.com about Jeep pricing. Seems they're following Porsche's marketing plan.
I tried to go to Auotextremist.com but it said that the site can't be reached.

I have come to like the new format. The way I work it now is I open the Digest in my email. From there I click on "Newest Pictures" and go through the first 12 pages of photos. I'll click on any photo that looks interesting to me but there aren't that many.
After that I will click on "Home" in the upper left which will list the sections I subscribe to. Then I go to the General Chit-Chat section and check out any posts that I haven't already seen, avoiding any post that is only a link to something else. I will then quickly check a few of the sections I subscribe to (Trains, Panoramas, Landscape, Black and White Photography, and a couple others) to see if there is anything new. Usually there isn't anything new.
This new procedure has cut way down on the amount of time I spend on UHH - which is a good thing.

Looks to me that the bed of the truck has a cover on it. I bet the board wouldn't lay flat in the bed. I have had a few p/u's over the years but never had a cover for the beds. Don't know what you do with the cover if whatever is in the bed is too big for the cover.
