When you buy Halloween candy this year, be careful! Do not buy your favorite kind. I did that, and now my two bags of Mounds are gone! I'll have to go out and buy something that I don't want to eat. I thought I could resist, but I couldn't. We've averaged just fifteen kids the past few years, so I guess buying two bags of candy was overkill. It was delicious, though.
You’re not alone.
We only get a handful of kids but yet the candy disappears within a few days. I wonder why 🤔
Bad trouble when the are on sale at Walmart.
We moved to our present house in 1991. I don't think we've had a total of 15 kids in 32 years. Yet I buy a bag each year just in case. Needless to say we buy candy that my wife and I enjoy. No gummy worms or such.

We used to have 100 or more.

I always buy candy that I love. Now we live up in the woods, and there are no children brave enough to walk up our long dark driveway, but it’s a good excuse to buy candy. When we lived in a neighborhood that was filled with kids, I was apparently the only house that put out full size candy bars. Amazingly, I’d run into some of the kids many years later when they were adults, and invariably they’d say something like: “I remember your house, you always had full size candy at Halloween” Amazing how many good memories you can create with a candy bar.
And don't forget the sales after Halloween!
I always buy Halloween candy that I like.

That's hilarious..Great warning I would of done the same! Great choice 🙂
Even during Covid we had 150-200, Last year we set a new record 302 before we ran out of candy. (Large groups are always brought by car or van, likely from TJ, only 5 miles away.) There is also an app on Nextdoor that people post that they will have candy to give out.
Used to get a lot, now 2 or 3. My sons take care of the left-overs.

One year, probably 2020, we had no one show up. It used to be that the street would be full of cars that were full of kids.

The problem with me is, I cannot even justify buying one bag, because we do not get any kids! Bummer!!!

As I said, I bought two bags, and we get maybe fifteen kids.
