I got distracted during the earlier post and hit send before I commented on the great photos. All four of these are great and I think #4 is the one I like best.

I'm sorry but that doesn't look like sage brush to me. Maybe I have just not seen one before that looks like that.

I grew up on a ranch in Wyoming and saw lots of sage brush just like this. Good soil and water and it will grow 6 or so feet tall and be 3 to 5 inches trunk diameter.

Great sky and beautiful saturated walls. My guess is that it is from Desert View.

Hilarious! Having suffered six year's of the Army's "hurry up and wait" mode of operation, I refuse to stand in line to get into a restaurant and now, to stock up on toilet paper and tissues.

After 31 years military, I don't do lines if I can help it.

Last summer while remodeling our bathroom Home Depot asked me to sign up on line for a Military Discount Id number. Now at check out I touch the discount button and add my phone number. Clerk says thank you for your service and I don't have to show any Id. That is here in Utah, may be different else where.

I am tempted, I have not seen a 35 80mm. I have a couple of 35 70mms and 6 or 7 2.0 50's. I don't think I have a 75 150mm either. I was in SW Idaho last Thursday. We stopped by Craters of the Moon on our way to Washington.

I don't have straps on any of my camera's. I keep them in a waist bag when they are not in my hands.

You are mistaken. Check the National Park Service website. "The North Rim is closed for the season. It will re-open 15 May 2020"
Since the South Rim is about a thousand feet lower in elevation than the North Rim it gets considerably less snow. Yes travel may be iffy, but the South Rim is rarely closed and then only periodically, not seasonally.

Toroweep is on the North Rim and is open if you can get there. 55 or 60 miles of dirt road one way.

Great picture. I have overnighted on the point a couple of times. Very quiet with beautiful views in all directions.

I have been using Pentax since 92 and now have about 75 of them. A 110 with 3 lenses, couple of screw mounts, K1000 through the ZX series(pentax's worst cameras),4 DSLR's. 2 6X7's and a few other brands people have given me when they learned I collected cameras. The LX is my favorite of the film cameras, It is such a beautiful example of craftsmanship and features.

I sometimes show people interested in photo gear my 110 next to my 6X7 and get lots of comments.

The shovel in #3 looks to have been in use not log ago. Is there a story there?

So far I don't think anyone has mentioned Slide Rock State Park, about 6 miles up Oak Creek Canyon toward Flagstaff. It has a good sized arch (Indian Head) south west of the parking lot a couple of hundred yards, trail goes right up to it. North of parking is the slide rocks; if there is water running on rock it is as slick as melting ice. The chutes and channels the water follows are worth taking shorts or a bathing suit. Kind of like a wet roller coaster.
