I recently showed an old acquaintance my 'brag list' of my top pix on my fone, & he was impressed, & wants me to do a gig shooting him at a promo event for his jazz group.

Two hours, 100 exposures in that time, one time use.

He mentioned models will be there to help make best of shoot, for CD cover sleeve images.

He mentioned $150 since he is a student; but I revisited the whole thing. If there are models, someone must be paying them & I haven't seen the venue, & may need to bring speedlights, stands, a LumeCube or two…

What do you folks think about the fee he mentioned? I need the exposure, but also don't want negative precedent or negative P.R. if it's too low…

After a shoot yesterday I was going through my pictures and editing them and saving them to a separate file. Normally I would download everything to my computer first but failed to do this for this shoot. I managed to get 118 done and saved when my computer said that the SD card that I am using could not be read and it needed to be formatted. I had formatted it before the shoot and it worked fine until I had maybe 25 photos left to edit and now the card doesn't work. I tried my laptop and putting the card back in the camera with the same results. All three of my cameras have dual cards slots and I have never used the option of writing the images to both cards with any of the tens of thousands of photo I have taken, but from now on every photo I take will be written to both cards to eliminate this problem.
If you have a recommendation for some recovery software please put it in a comment below. The card stopped working on the image I most wanted and I am not a happy photographer. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

I didn't see any FRAGILE stickers on the box. It could have contained a sweater. Still, throwing a package is never a good idea, if for no other reason than it looks bad. I thought it was ironic that he threw the box a few feet, but then he had to walk back again to get the package and leave the note.

The way companies pack things these days, it probably could have taken a fall from the top of the truck. I've received boxes that were seriously torn, but the fragile contents were fine.

Someone posted a video here of a delivery man throwing a large screen TV over a fence. He definitely knew what was in that box.

Obviously, speed is important to these companies, and I know the drivers are under pressure to get their route covered quickly. I always walk down the driveway to meet the driver at the truck. UPS never enters the driveway, but FedEx always does.
