I was in HEB (big chain grocery store) when I herd the first Christmas carol! Not even turkey day yet and already the Christmas stuff is out in 'Seasonal'. It's ok, I plan to go look for some of them rope lights. Why? Are you crazy! Them are the Christmas lights of our time! I still retrieved the old Christmas lights with them bulbs screw into Bakelite fixtures, vary old school! Yea, I was a kid helping Dad string them on the tree, they had an odor that is more 'Christmas' than a pine tree or most anything else!

See, you got me off what I wanted to say! Getting old here, and it is just grand the memories. But being Timmers I do delight in the mammaries* as well! Ok, yes, cheap like a Sears Sucker Suit but I didn't ever have one, just saw them (yuck!).
* https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GeH8yNd3mWM (Thanks for the mammaries).

Back to my point, what ever that takes me! As I have said, I have loads of storage in this ol' industrial building. And I got power tools in the garage and I do like to cut, fit and build props. Fell bad for my poor sister after I die, I have no idea what she will do with all this stuff!

But the point is, it is coming on Christmas and I plan to get back to them ol' Christmas roots! So, fair warning! Oh, and last year, I got gifted an old Santa Sled. Ya know, maybe it is time to get back to the deep roots! If you were naughty then there were consequences! Did Santa do the spanks or was it the elves?

VADA who was not actually naughty got a box of spanks from the elfin Pattycumcakes! Just goes to prove, naughty is it's own reward!

Well John, I hate to see it when a member leaves a topic area or even the HOG site.
As we all know, Timmers is Timmers and sure keeps it interesting and fun regardless if we like his work or not.
I myself, have been insulted, called stupid names a just bad mouthed by a member who did not like my reply to another member I was offering to help with his question posed. Even just recently I was bad mouthed by some idiot. I started to PM him and invite him to Texas and meet me so I could give his a good ole Texas ass whipp'n. But I just wrote it off. Not worth even replying to dopes like that.
I have seen your replies on other topic listings and if you allow someone to leave this topic area, then you will find it easier to leave another. None of us on this site are going to always get along or agree.
Anyway, I had to speak my mind on this.
Peace bro,
bruce

Well not to worry there Mr. Bruce, they never take attention to anything that I write back, they just post the 'opinion' and leave>
Numerous times I have posted that I have a disability, dyslexia. Still I get these one word one liners, like this 'DDSS'. I have no idea what it means, and so I just loose interest in carrying what is posted. One might think that IF someone was communication they would desire to be understood, and yet it happens all the time on the Hog.

So, I just don't respond to much of the flaky opinions that are terse or poorly formed statements. "There's no percentage in it."

Yea Tim,
the acronyms used here on the HOGG and else where leave me at a loss to understand what they mean. I have learned a couple of them here like SOOC. At first when I saw the DDSS, I thought of the word SAD.
But I have never seen this one before. Some one please explain this one to me.
This is a world wide forum so this kinda stuff will happen.
We move on and do not let the little s**t bring us down.
Keep on truck'n Tim.

When I come across letters like DDSS or SOOC then the communication has failed and so it is the same as if it was never sent/used.

When using code letters like DOF (Depth of Field) I do what you see here. That way if during a written presentation the reader is aware of it meaning, it is just part of showing respect to that reader. In the world of modeling there is a common enough code, MUA that refers to the person doing the make up work on a model (thus MUA = Make Up Artist).

I am guilt of one thing and that was the use of DoD (Department of Defense), I sounded it out and years ago I would call my sister at the work in the Pentagon and ask "Is this the 'doode'?" Like it was some business. She got a kick out of it. One day in a large meeting with generals and upper civilian contractor/advisors she pronounced the DoD into the word doode, which got everyone's attention and began her to hear every one saying the DoD as this naming.

He didn’t say he was leaving the topic area; he said he was moving on from Timmers’ posts.
