I am new toi LR and am having a not so slight problem. I can produce an pleasing image on the screen in the DEVELOP mode, but when I open it in Library, the image colors are very different. The two questions are is there a solution to this dilemma? Or...is there a way to export the image to JPEG from Develop?
Thanks,
Bob

Don't have Lightroom.. Not in the budget. I am looking for a long term solution so a trial version won't help... Hoping for a shareware or under $50. program..

I am searching for a program that would allow me to convert .dng RAW files to JPG while keeping the original Metadata. Currently, I am using PS Elements to 'process' the RAW files and often have 50 or so pics I need to send out on JPG format. Some of the programs that I have tried tended to strip off the Metadata.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

We did a twp week cruise from Hong Kong tp Viet Nam/Cambodia/Thailand/Singapore on Holland America. I could pass on Cambodia, but the other countries were visually exciting destinations. Many photo opportunities. While the scenery is quite good, the region is weighted more toward culture and people. Very different from Europe..

Hi,
More playing and testing on my part. Discovered that if I set the color settings (under Edit) to "No Color Management", the screens seem pretty close to each other. The other two choices (Printer and Computer) are way off base from the other on-screen colors. Thanks.

There is no problem using the printer as the color and density matches the other programs on the computer. The issue is that display in Elements 14 doesn't match the other programs on the computer.

I am using Adobe Photoshop Elements 14 on a Windows 10 computer. The color and luminescence displayed in the Elements window is substantially different from pictures placed on the computer desktop or on other picture viewer programs. Is there a way to tweak or otherwise adjust the Elements 14 display window color picture display?

Without boring everybody, I had three film Nikons with manual focusing. Great glass. Also purchased a dedicated (and very expensive) Nikon flash unit. When time came for digital, I wanted to stay with Nikon, but since the new cameras were autofocus, I realized that new glass was in order. I also discovered that my expensive flash was incompatible with the digital Nikons. At that point, I felt no loyalty to Nikon. Went to Canon.
After two Canons (most recent a 60D), I just purchased an Olympus mirrorless 4/3 (M1 Mark 2) with some serious Olympus glass and a dedicated Olympus flash.

This topic is causing me to make my first post. Here are a couple of my thoughts on the subject.
My first film camera was a Ricoh 500, followed by an Exa (Dad had an Exacta and lenses), and on to Nikon FTN, etc. Also had a Super Ikonta BX, Calumet 4X5, 3 1/4X4 1/4 1940 Anniversary Graphic, Bronica S2, Minox, and a few others.
I recently had the occasion to sell the Rollei on Ebay. Before I listed it, I wanted to make sure that it was functioning properly. I purchased a roll of Ilford B&W film ($4.50) and had only the negatives processed ($9.50). At these prices, I can't afford to shoot film.
Also..When I went to Africa with 43 rolls of Kodak negative film and two Nikons, I always wondered if my exposure was correct, sharp pics, camera malfunction, etc. Wouldn't be able to reshoot if they didn't come out. Had Kodak process the film in four different batches to be sure nothing got lost. I don't miss those film days at all.
What I do miss is that many of the published photos in Pop Photography are a tribute to Photoshop and not the person behind the camera. That is what I miss. most
