I've been entrusted with an inventory of film cameras and lens from an elderly photographer looking to get whatever he might for his photo equipment. They probably have no value, except for that one collector or two who is hesitant to see the age of film fade into the sunset.

All items are spotless as to condition. Although not personally tested, I've been assured cameras and lenses are in workable order.

Should you have an interest in any of the items listed, please PM me and we can discuss further. Sensing that there will be little interest, I've not set up these items for either a group or individual photograph, but for interested parties, photos can be made available. Prices are merely guidelines from listings uncovered during my research to find some value of these historic items.

The Items:

Honeywell Pentax Spotmatic w/50MM1.4 Takalmar Lens and Leather Case. $90

Pentax P3 with Samyang 28-70MM F3.5 Auto Zoom $60
Additional Lens: Hanimax Telephoto 300MM 5.5 $20

Pentax ME Super with Toyo 75-200 4.5 Lens with Padded Canvas Camera Case. $40 Additional lenses for this camera: Ozunon MC Auto Zoom 35-75MM 3.5 $5.00 and Sun Lens Zoom 85-210MM 3.5 with Leather Case (no price found)

Lordomat with Leidolf Wetzlar 50MM 2.8 Lens and 90MM 4.5 Lens with leather pouch. $100

Ohnar Zoom Reverser $15.00

Vantage Auto-Flash with Instructions & carrying case $8.oo

Good morning....this is a flash that is so sturdy and well-made that when I reluctantly decided to replace my Sony system with a Nikon (a line I've used for 50 over years), I went so far as to see if there was any way I could "adapt" this flash to work with my backup Nikon D-300 or my main FF Nikon D700. That's how impressed I am with this flash. It's versatile, very well-built and has a heft and feel that makes my Nikon SB700 flash feel like an inferior unit.

I, too, was put off by the price of this unit....as I recall in the $500 range. I was fortunate enough to find a listing on Craig's List of a gentleman who had just purchased this flash but was victim of a home robbery losing most of his Sony equipment and decided not to replace his loss. Fortunately, he was spared losing his brand new Sony flash but put it up for sale at a reduced price just to clear it out.

I've had nothing but good service from the unit and would highly recommend this to anyone with a Sony who has the need for a dependable, workhorse of a flash.

By the way, if you're interested, the gentleman I bought it from had fired it about a half a dozen times to test it before being robbed. I used the unit as a back-up very sparingly on my Sony A7, so the unit is pristine and virtually still brand-new as far as use and condition. I hope this helps you. Jim

Aside from wardrobe criticism, my first reaction would have been to close people in turning sideways, allowing you to get in closer and then use a flash to fill in shadows on faces. To me, light at their back is better then facing right into the sun with squinting eyes.

This lens was used on the Sony A77 camera, so if I'm interpreting correctly for this particular camera that is an A mount lens. Hope this helps.

If there are still questions lingering, please contact me.

The lens is an absolute beauty and took fantastic pictures. I just had to divest myself of my Sony equipment when I made the commitment to go FF with my Nikon primary system of which I already had a sizable investment.

Thanks for correcting me. Guess I was just concentrating too much on the "43" part of the product identification when determining a price.. Will adjust and put the item more in line competitively. I really hate to part with this since it's so well built and powerful, but there's no way it's gonna synch with a Nikon FF. Thanks again for calling me up on this!

Still have Flash Unit with carrying case List Price $399.
Asking $325 Plus shipping. Was used very infrequently mounted on A77 camera. Am selling off that system because am converting to FF system. This is a pristine piece of equipment. Never dropped, works superbly. Built like a tank with power to spare. I do not have Users Folder unfortunately. But equipment is showroom condition.

Everything seems to be working now and I had tried what you suggested....guess things just took awhile to "get in alignment" before all components were able to work together.

Oh, my, it's like I've discovered a twin sister in Atlanta. As I read your last note it was me all over. Lose sleep over a decision, research, observe, etc. etc. When I made the decision to go FF it was because I do so much work at golf tournaments for a client and they are often taking my shots and plastering them on 9 foot banners to display at tournaments and other functions. For most uses, I think you'll find DX is gonna work great. As far as eyesight, welcome to the world of the aging.....don't forget, too, that most of your better cameras have qn ocular adjustment on the viewfinder, and that can make a world of difference in what you see and where you aim your Autofocus indicator. I've no other Sony lenses, but I do have one piece of Sony equipment that I'm gonna hate to part with and thats the Model 43 electronic flash. Like most Sony equipment, it was expensive, but it is as well-built a piece of equipment as I've ever owned. In fact, I went to the trouble of seeing if there was any type of reliable "adaptor" that would make the Sony flash interface with the Nikon TTL system. Sadly, Sony has engineered their equipment (at least this piece) where it's for Sony and Sony only. So that's going up on the auction block. Great corresponding with you and look forward to more communiques in the future. My e-mail, by the way is jimrogers2@sbcglobal.net. if you care to use that.

They're all good cameras and you certainly aren't gonna go wrong with Sony. One of the fun things to me was shopping around for some of the Minolta lens that work on the Sony and they're out there for quite reasonable prices. And they are built like Sherman tanks! Good luck in your search and decision and if I can provide any more input, don't hesitate to PM me anytime.

THANKS TO EVERYONE....Searcher, Jethro, JR, Olden, CO, Old Earl, Bill & MT...you guys are always there when someone needs help. As it turned out, after not having my Nikon D700 OR the suspect 32G card out for several days, I gave it one more shot to see if the MacBook Pro could read anything out of the mess I'd gotten in to and .....lo and behold, as if by magic, everything worked like it should have worked days ago. Suddenly the D700, card reader, memory card and MacPro are "playing nice" with each other. Go figure. I have no idea what was going on, but things have straightened themselves out. Thanks for your suggestions which I was tackling one at a time. I really appreciate you guys! Jim

Hi Laura....actually the lens is a 17-50MM 2.8. There is an identifying number 16 as part of the official description of the lens, and I evidently picked it up in error. Anyway, to answer your question, the lens was purchased about two years ago and was on my backup camera which was hardly ever taken out of my camera backpack. It is virtually in showroom new condition and in checking, it's selling through B&H for $499. I'm asking $400 (Plus shipping) for it with lens hood and protective UV filter on it No dings, dents or mold. Glass is pristine. In researching this lens, it was highly recommended and on par with the Sony "kit" lens offered with the A77, but without the high sticker price.
