Many christians seem to believe all they have to do is believe in Jesus.
They don't believe that their actions and the way they live their lives matter; Greed, Hate, etc..
Believe in Jesus and its just like when you are playing Monopoly and you draw a 'Get Out of Jail Free Card'.

No, that is not the way it is. I could never live the life that Jesus had lived. We do make mistakes but we do seek to please God in all that we do. It takes more then just believing that Jesus is the Son of God. To believe you must repent. To repent is to turn your life over to Jesus through the Holy Spirit. To turn away from sin, from greed and hate. You identify yourself with Jesus. There is no 'Get Out of Jail Free Card'. God punishes those who are His.
You have a false view of what Christianity is about and who Jesus is.

Is it? In what way? Can you answer the questions about pedophiles? Why do homosexuals get a pass and not pedophiles? What if - there is a gene that makes pedophiles the way they are and they can not help being who they are? Why is one acceptable to you but the other is not?

I must agree with Ray but up to a point. Not all Catholics are Christians just as not all who claim to be Christians are well, not saved.
I like to joke with those of other denominations that Jesus was a Baptist because He was Baptized.

It was to protect them, back then the diseases and things like red-tide were not understood... just that eating shellfish etc was at times not good for you- I was snorkling once in Florida , I later found out during a red tide ... and I can tell you it is horrible!.
Same with premarital sex, or extra-marital sex ... think about it, making it illegal, and including it at the "power-level" of salvation if you disobeyed-even when nobody was looking, if they could get people to believe this, they prevented venereal disease, and in the case of shellfish, and pork-(trichinosis)- food borne illnesses... any of which was commonly fatal back then, let alone all the other problems that can arise from children out of wedlock etc.. It would at least keep the "flock" of followers you were interested in safe.
These sorts of laws were a way of getting people to follow them and blaming it on god rather then because the head of the village says you can't... but he is in the next village..tee. hee.
Consider it a white lie.

You are saying that the Bible is a lie - to me and other Christians you are saying that God lies since the Bible is the inspired Word of God.
The Shrimping Industry in Louisiana monitor the shrimp in the waters off shore to make sure that the shrimp are safe to eat. Shrimp boats can be shut down at any time if the shrimp are harmful for human consumption.

The vast majority of LBGT, which I am not a member of, are not predators.
