Every one of the things I stated causes people to do or not do something that restricts their so-called freedom. The precautionary protocols associated with reducing the spread of the virus restricts alleged freedoms the same way. So, perfect equivalency and logic.

BS and not even close.

Was watching what now goes for Baseball & had a thought ----

Those cardboard Fan Cut-Outs could be the strange wave of the future ---
"IF" this virus actually comes from the Cold Family -- We as humans could be stuck with it for ever & ever --------?
Even with an effective vaccine -- Which we may need to get shots of once/twice a year - after year - after year
Or at least until "they" design new & improved humans !!

Then you are making poor use of Google.
My point is that annual losses from flu are typically much much less than from Covid.

Great posting. I have political oriented comments but I will not say them.

A McDonalds reopend in Columbus, OH about 5-6 weeks ago. The drive thru had 20 cars waiting. I decided to go in and order. The young man that took my order had a mask. I looked to the drive thru and kitchen and they all had mask but pulled down under the chin. Worthless!

The lady that brought me my food was wearing her mask the same. I asked her why and she just sort of looked at me and said nothing. I asked it I could speak to the manager and she identifed herself as the manager. I told her that was totally irresponsible. She walked away saying nothing. An email to McDonald's feedback on their web site resulted in a canned response a week later. it was a canned reply saying they encouraged employees to wear masks but not much meaningful was expressed .here was no apology. It was like, ok, if you dont like it too bad.

told my brother about this experience.e lives in Germantown, OH. He said he had the same experience there with masks below the chin. He asked for his money back and left. That's what I should have done.

I find this attitude irresponsible to the max and the attitude expressed by corporate was received as we don't care at all.

I have made my last purchase at McDonalds anywhere. I hope you have not experienced this but do not be surprised if you do.

First of all there is no Chinese flu, that being an extremely racist description. Call it the Trump virus, since he failed to address it and people are dying unnecessarily. As far as your unsubstantiated belief that this is less a threat than the seasonal flu, you obviously don't understand or believe in science. It has infected and killed more people in a shorter period of time than the seasonal flu, and it has not abated at all. And, it isn't just deaths to be concerned about. There have been 4 million Americans affected and over 143,000 deaths, but it is taking a greater toll on those of the 4 million who become seriously ill and can't function, work or be around families for extended periods. There is a financial and emotional impact that will last for years. And, because the world has only known about this virus for no longer than 9 months, we have no clue what the long term impact on health will be. So, equating this with the seasonal flu is nonsensical at best.

At last count 82% of us agree on the wisdom of wearing a mask. Not perfect but promising.

Actually, most of them are perfect parallels. It's you that failed Logic. I respect your service, your sacrifice and consider you a far better than average photographer, but, you are reckless, self absorbed and dangerous.

With a mortality rate of less than 1/2 percent it is not "All That".

1 - The mortality rate lags infections by a month or a good bit more.

2 - Many people who recover are left with serious lingering effects.

3 - We cannot possibly know all the lingering effects or the death rate since the earliest time since a significant number of people were sickened was only 6 months.

You display a serious lack of understanding of statistics.
