I did a Google search and found it.

I recently did business with MPB

What exactly is MPB? I know KEH and BH, never heard of MPB.

Same question, what is MPB?

Like you, I prefer the camera be unencumbered in any way when mounted on a tripod/monopod. Agree about the quick releases too. Happy Shooting!

I had the good fortune to visit the Georgia Aquarium a few years ago and others have noted there are so many glass surfaces that a flash will do you no good besides the aquariums are so well lite you won't need it. I took the Olympus 12-40mm F2.8 and that lens was perfect for the aquarium IMHO. You will enjoy all the unique aqua life in all sizes from shrimp to whale sharks! My favorite was the Jellyfish.

Come up very often. This is an article that should answer all questions about cards for your camera and/or phones etc.

Thanks for a good article about an important part of digital photography that I've never considered! I'm in no way a pro but I do occasionally take trips where my main purpose is photography and I would be sick if I lost my images, like my trip to Savanna GA, or The Georgia Aquarium, or Calloway Gardens, or God forbid my pilgrimage to Graceland!

I also have a Surui W-2204 Carbon Fiber that came with a set of interchangable feet Rubber for Floors and Spiked for Outdoors. The tripod was expensive ($400 w/ballhead) but it is weatherproof, dustproof, freezeproof. I do find that changing the feet to be a minor hassle.

Outstanding group of images. I've been experimenting with photographing aquariums for years and you have captured some great ones. I hope you'll keep posting here. My most succesful images where a couple of years ago when my Sister took me to visit the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta. I was so overwhelmed by the Aquarium that I didn't take enough photos!

I think that if you give the limits of human anatomy another moment's thought, you may agree that whatever he is resting his camera on, cannot be HIS knee.
That Exakta model looks like my first single lens reflex, which I bought in 1956. A long time ago.

It is his knee, the pajamas he wore matched the top and his left leg was broken and in the movie you can see him placing the long lens on his right knee. Stewart is sitting in a wheelchair of some type and I know Mr. Stewart was very thin and was also in the Military Reserves (I believe he retired as a General) so you know he had to remain physically fit.

Wikipedia says it's a 400mm.

That was what my SWAG method concluded (scientific wild ass guess).

I liked the movie. It was full of suspense and it was a little creepy that he was such a peeping tom as well.

They discuss that issue in the movie. Most movie posters in America showed Stewart with binoculars while a few showed the lens/camera in other countries.

That lens has got to be at least 600mm. I'm surprised that he could hold it, but then, it looks like he has it propped on something. I'll bet that thing weighed a ton. That's in the days of all metal construction. Whoever took that photo got the perfect shot.

Mr. Stewart has it propped up on his knee. Although Mr. Hitchcock could have had the lens modified to make it lighter weight?
