I have tried to remember to leave more room on the borders as I take photos. This allows me to print satisfactory enlargements.

Your last sentence answered your question. Buy It! I echo Quixdraw. I use mine for portraits. Only use it with 50mm G lens and 85mm 1.8 G lens. Love it!

I have both of these cameras and use them for HS Sports. (Football and Softball) Both are great in low light. I love the look under the Lights. Jack up to ISO to whatever need to get the desired shutter speed. I use a 70-200 F2.8. I use the 500 for football because the focus tracker is better than the D4. Also get more reach via crop factor.

I shoot HS Sports Softball and Baseball. I shoot in Aperture Priority f-3.5 for my 70-200 or f4 for my 300 lens. I then keep increasing the ISO to keep shutter speed up as it gets dark. Really like shooting in the stadium lights. I use a D500 or D4. Neither seems to care what the ISO is. They are both excellent in low light.

All this talk about Nikon. I purchased my first Nikon in 1972. Nikkormat with 50mm f1.4 lens. Went with Nikon due to the reputation for Optics. Seemed to me to be the most important aspect of a Camera. My Grandson is now using it. Works as well as it did in 1972. I now have 3 other 35mm Nikons all in working order. Yes, I have Nikon DSLRs. I love my Nikons! Attached photo was taken with my Nikon S2 which was produced in the mid 1950s.

While in the UP visit the USS Silversides Museum. You can tour the original. I served on the USS Silversides SSN-679. It is now decommissioned. They have the diving planes station from my Boat at the Museum. Was not my job. I was a Reactor Reactor. Ken Carnley, Plankowner (was on the crew when it was commissioned) USS Silversides SSN-679.

I chose my first Nikon in early 70s. I now have myself a Nikon Museum. They all work. I am retired and 73 years old. When I croak my Grandson will have them all. Only one will be Mirrorless. The S2 which looks and function like new.

I think most School Photography classes start you out with all manual cameras. My Grandson is taking a class in High School this fall. Would love to be the fly on the wall on the first day when he walks in with my, now his Nikkormat. He took some outstanding photos with it last December.

I still forget to advance the film. Last summer I picked up a nice used Nikon F4. Has all that auto stuff.

Go to the USS Intrepid CV11. My late Brother served on it. He flew S2 Trackers off it. These were Submarine Hunters. I think he was on it for its last Deployment which was a Med Run. Take a couple of photos for me.

Just read drmike99 mirror less GAS post. Well I seem to suffer from old camera GAS and using film again. Going on two trips this summer and have been deciding on what cameras to take. Not taking any of my DSLRs. Trips include beach and lake trip. Beach trip is going to be medium format. Had decided to take my Yashica Electro 35 on lake trip. So go to BH Photo to order some more 35mm film. Then...I see these new disposable class reloadable plastic cameras. All appear to be made by same company. I chose the Agfa named one because it came in coffee brown. So....leaving old premium Nikon 35mm cameras and Electro home.

I was walking up the path to the top of Mount Mitchell NC. Was carrying my Nikon F2 with Ilford Delta 100 film. Pass a guy who was carrying a Cannon AE-1 he was also using Ilford Delta 100. He was a young guy. Me not so much.
