I enjoy converting color photos into black and white images and want to see your images, too.

I'm into composition, tonality, pattern & repetition and seeing reality in unique ways.
Two images of the St. Louis Gateway Arch, originally taken on color negative film in 1991 and digitized & converted to B&W last month.

Here's an 8 image sequence taken over the course of 3 seconds- The game is called Ultimate for those unfamiliar with competitive "Flying Disc" events and competitions.

This set is from a American Ultimate Disc League (AUDL) game between DC Breeze and Raleigh Flyers. August evening at Catholic University's Carlini Field, 6:48pm. Light was getting dusky.

Settings: f/5 @ 1/800 ISO: 800 (Manual).
Camera: Nikon D850 w/Sigma 150-600 1:5-6.3 Sport

I collect odd things to set up for still life type compositions in my home studio. Sometimes the lighting setup is basic like with the cubes, and other times it's more complex like with the glass globe.

Every journey, even one that takes years to complete, begins with the first step. Don't let a knowledge of the length, or just a fear of not reaching the end, stop you from ever even starting.
Enjoy the holidays and stay safe!
I've been very passionate about making photographs since my first photography class in 1975. That journey is continuing and I'm loving it.
