Many thanks to Bill for pinch hitting for Larry on Free Sunday. Great job, Bill. And also thanks to those who are taking on hosting for the October Challenges. It is very much appreciated.

Many of you know how to stop action and suspend water, people, birds etc. in mid air. The skills are a must for sports photographers, birds in flight - and wiggly children. The major settings involved are those of the exposure triangle: ISO, shutter speed and your aperture. High enough ISO, wide enough aperture and shutter speeds of 1/1000 or higher until your subject "freezes". It might be helpful if you included your Aperture, ISO, and shutter speed with your post - something I neglected to do when preparing for this challenge.

So, STOP the action and SHOW us your image and SETTINGS if you can.

ISO 200, f 8 1/800

WOW!!! Great shots. I don't think I can top your exposures. You always come up with really nice exposures.

Pat this a wonderful challenge! So far I love the examples. I'm still on the road, so I only have one to add. But I called this one "Leaping into their future." It was my Niece's Quinceanera.

p.1 These are all super examples demonstrated in a variety of images. And they are fun too - like the 2 dogs on a chase and the mud stomping and "mud Run" I think they call them.
