If you are using a Samsung try this: tap the spot on the screen where the bright spot is and the phone screen will darken. Tap a.dark spot and the view lightens. You should also get a kind of light bulb icon with a slider to lighten or darken the scene. Works great for sunsets too.

Film photography is having a moment among the instagram hipsters, so prices have been steadily rising. Depends on condition of course, but mint FM3As in the box are pushing $1000 on a certain auction site. There's even someone selling just the empty box for $55! Working FMs/FM2/FM2Ns with lenses are going for $150 up to $500. Not sure about the Minoltas or Canons, but you've got a chance to make a nice bit of cash if you want to put the effort into selling on eBay.
Ive been following Nikon prices lately as I'm looking for an early FM (three knurled knobs) to add to my collection.

I also bought an Alta 264AT in 2017, and the same thing happened to one of my tripod legs. About a year later, I was in Yosemite. One of the legs came all the way out, and the little plastic insert went floating down the Merced River. I figured it was out of warranty, and I was out of luck. I've been opening the tripod very carefully ever since.
Now, I'll give it a try and see what happens. (not looking for a replacement, just another plastic insert or two).
Thanks!

First real camera was a used Nikon F in 1981. I used it during a trip to Europe in 82. My sister appropriated it soon after (long story - details are hazy now) and kept it until 2015. I dont think she put more than a few rolls through it in those 33 years. Meanwhile, I inherited my Grampa's Voigtlander and used that for years. Here they are along with a pristine F2A I found recently in Korea. In the back are an FE, a Nikkormat EL, and my first "real" digital camera, a Fujifilm XT10. And of course the Crown Graphic!

Hello All,
I'll be going to Tanzania to work for a few weeks. I'll have weekends free. I'm bringing my fuji digital camera and I plan to shoot some film as well (BW and color). I'm going back and forth on which film camera to bring, a Nikon FE or F2?
Thanks!

I am surprised in interest in a manual camera since everything today is automatic.

I have a black (not titanium) FM2, standard black leather case, 50mm 1.8, 35mm f2.8, 200mm f4.0 with Nikon 62mm L1bc filter, HN-23 lens hood, HS-11 lens hood. Lenses are all AIS Nikor

But but never thought they were worth the trouble to sell, pack up, and ship.

I'd take it all off your hands in a minute! But I live in Korea and already have an FE, F, F2A, Nikkormat EL, Crown Graphic and my Grampa's Icarex. In reply to the original post, I love my FE. It was the camera that got me back into film after I retired from the Army (and before I retrieved my F from my sister). It's light and is my go to travel film camera. I bought it for about $125 with lens.

Hello, are you still looking for an enlarger? I have two. A Beseler 23C II and a Beseler Dichro 67S2. Both have lenses. Not sure about holders. Located in CA. Scott

Hello Mike,
I am putting together a darkroom and would be interested in taking the equipment off your hands. I retired from the army and used my GI bill to study photography. I really enjoy working with 4x5. I have an omega D2, a couple of 150 mm lenses, timer and grain focuser. I need pretty much everything else. I live in Oceanside and could pick up whatever you dont want. Thanks, Scott
