CHG_CANON: If Sony comes out on top with the numbers, will you change your name? How about CHG_NIKON?
No matter what your name is, you provide great information on this site!

Thanks for all the helpful replies.

I live in Yardley, PA just across the Delaware River from Trenton, NJ.

I tried to donate the darkroom equipment to Bucks County Community College and to other charitable organizations in this area but there were no takers. I will try again; maybe there are others I have not thought of.

Thank you for the reply.

The enlargers are Beselers; one 4x5 and one 2.5 x 3.5 (I think). Both have been unused for about 30 years.

I am looking for advice on disposing of darkroom equipment. I have two enlargers, one 4x5 and another 35mm with all accessories.

There are also developing tanks, trays, washing tanks, etc.

I am prepared to donate some or all the equipment to a college or school. The only requirement is that the large equipment (enlargers) be picked up from my home.

This is sadly the end of an era for me. With the pain of spinal stenosis, and the ease of digital photography I do not foresee going back to darkroom work.

I filed a technical request. The reply was that it will take 3 to 5 business days to get back to me because of problems with the version 7 update.

arathorn357: Thank you for your detailed and helpful reply. I did as you suggested and gave permissions to the different folders. I then tried to reinstall DSM but got a message that the .pat file is corrupted. I have contacted Synology tech services and am waiting for a response. I think the problem has been that I tried to install DSM version 7 after the NAS was disconnected and the new version has problems with connectivity.

This is the same Disk Manager as was used before. It became unplugged and had to be reinstalled.

I have stored many of my images on a Synology Disk Manager which is attached to my iMac. Recently, I had to install a new Synology Disk Manager. Now I am unable to use the images on the Synology drive although they show (greyed out) in Lightroom on my iMac. I have checked everything but am obviously missing something to synchronize the attached disks to my iMac.

Can any of you smart Hoggers help?

I have a Scansnap S1500M. Using Viewscan I can scan an image and get either PDF or JPG or a TIFF file.

Thank you, Sandiegosteve! Clicking on that button returned my image to normal!

That seems to solve the problem for me!

Yesterday I was using Lightroom Classic after scanning many photos. During the scanning a line was introduced into the scan from the scanner. I used the spot removal tool in Lightroom to remove the line. In order to speed up the process I began using my Wacom Intuos PTK-640.

Later in the day I noticed that when I clicked on the spot removal tool icon, the image on the screen lost color and the image became very low res. Clicking on the icon or clicking on the letter Q restored the image but it was now impossible to make a correction using the spot removal tool.

I disconnected the Intuos but this did not change the behavior of Lightroom. I removed the Lightroom file from my iMac and reinstalled it. The problem remains uncorrected.

I will report this to Adobe and to Wacom.

Any advice will be welcome!

For the last 18 months I have been showing images on a television set in the living room. The images are on a USB and are loaded from my Lightroom files. The images are on the screen for about 15 seconds and circulate continuously. The TV set is a Vizio.

Recently, I have noticed horizontal gray lines appearing on some images which makes viewing them impossible.

Have any of you hoggers used this method of showing images and found a similar problem?
