I'm new to the board after buying a Nikon D3300. Very happy with the camera and 18-105 lens but want to pick up a "Cheap" (less than $100) flash. I'm an old Nikon FE owner who had a Vivitar flash back in the day.
Looking for good advice from the group.
Thanks in advance.

I have several(3) Yougnuo 560 speedlights and a remote trigger specific for Nikon. I recently sold most of my Nikon equipment so have no use for the lights or trigger. You may have some or all for $35.00 each (less than half price) all in good working condition you pay postage.

I use Nikon DSLR and mirrorless bodies and am interested in starting macro photography. Recommendations for a high quality macro lens please? I’m an amateur and not looking to set up ultra sophisticated equipment - just need a high quality lens that I can hand hold. Am willing to spend money for high quality. Thanks in advance.

I just sold a Nikkor 105mm Micro auto focus to KEH for $228.00. This was an older "D" and was very sharp. D models will only auto focus if you set the aperture ring at f16. Camera will set the desired f stop. You can probably get this for $300.00

At a young 84 I find I am no longer able to hold my D750 steady enough for good images. Unless I use a tripod most images are soft. I have tried monopod with some success but I really like to shoot street photography so that does not work well. It has been suggested by some of my camera club friends that I may be able to hand hold a lighter camera. Any suggestions would be appreciated. The mirror less 4 3rds such as Olympus OM-DE-M10 Mark IV looks like it would be a lot lighter than the D750. Any experience with mirror less 4 3rds?

I have both bought and sold lens with KEH and found them to be fair and reliable with a good return policy.

Both beautiful shots but I like the B&W best. The texture in the bridge is wonderful in to my old eyes is more striking in the B&W. Good job. I have never taken a good image from a tour bus window!

I have tried to find out how to get photos transmitted from my wife’s Android phone into my iPhone?

The only hidden method found is for her to attach photo files to an email to me. That is impractical due to e-mail rules of allowing less that two attached files or the attempt will not be capable to send!?

An suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!! 😁

I find that the free download of WeTransfer (wetransfer.com) works well for sharing large files. Super easy to use.

Have a group of picture files that need to be sent right away to family member. Please let me what methods you use. I use windows not apple. Thank you very in advance for your help.
The photos were taken at high resolution but none of these will be printed beyond 8×10.

WETransfer works well for large files and is free. wetransfer.com

There are a couple of YouTube videos that explain in simple terms how to move LR images from one drive to another. You can use Microsoft or LR, both methods are explained but LR is best.

I would choose the 50mm. I recently took portrait (waist up) of seniors sitting on Santa's lap. with a D750, Nikkor 50mm 1.8 D and they were all nice. If you can find a used f1.4 or 1.8 D lens you will be happy. I find that the older D lens is sharper than the newer G, I have both.

What if any are the advantages/disadvantages of using a Gimbal head as opposed to a standard ball head. I shoot mostly landscapes and night sky with D750 usually 20mm 2.8

Use a fast (1.4 - 2.8) wide angle lens. Set focus to infinity or focus on something in the foreground that is relatively far away. Take a 30 sec exposure at ISO 100, increase ISO until you see the exposure you like. Set your camera / remote to take multiple exposures (200 plus) at 30 sec.each. Make sure you have a full battery. Relax in a chair with a beverage. Download and use a free program - "StarStax". You will be pleased with your final image.

I have the 70-200 G2 and while I like the lens overall it is a little soft at the 200mm and best at 135mm. Also heavy! Based on weight alone and little need for telephoto I would take one or more wide angle lens.

Check with Tamron. I have had two brand new ones (different final length) that I have had to send in to be recalibrated. Sharp after the recalibration.

Did you have to send in your camera also?

I Recently started using the Tamron 70-200 G2 with my D750 and find the images are a little soft an all focal lengths (worse at 200mm). I have heard (rumor) that this lens was designed for a higher resolution camera such as the D810. Anyone with a similar experience? Should I have it calibrated or send to Tamron?
