Great landscapes! I’ll be adding that to the places I need to see at some point in this life.
It sounds like there is a consensus here!
Loyal Sony boy! I try to avoid digital cameras that still use mirrors.
It seems pretty clear they are going to go the way of film cameras. So for me, that means they will still be around. They just won’t be my go to camera. I always like to have a few hobby cameras around though.
I’m a Mac user and am familiar with that message. I decline to delete just as a precaution. When I’m truly ready to use it again as a full memory card, I wait till it goes back in the camera. Then I just hit reformat from the menu options, and your camera will then treat it as a full memory card, overwriting what was previously on it.
I’ve done my own fair share of antique camera purchases. Upwards of 80% of what I bought was through eBay. That may not be the answer you’re looking for, but most antique traders do have some presence on the site which can lead you to their personal business where you can find some great experts in antique cameras. They can often answer questions for you, and might be interested in buying from you. Also if you want to gauge how much an item is worth searching, eBay listings is usually the logical first step.
I stumbled across this community last week and have finally gotten around to registering an account. I shoot digitally with my Sony A7RII. I also shoot film with a growing collection of cameras I’ve come to acquire. My film photography is mostly just a hobbyist thing, while my digital photography is one of my steady sources of income. Right now I’m primarily doing real estate photography with occasional events and weddings. I intend to post on some photography topics soon.
