A "grass tree!" Amazing! Only in Australia could a trunk grow underground! LOL!
The Buckeye Tree is our State Tree. The OSU mascot is the Buckeye. "Go Bucks!" And we do have Buckeye butterflies, but not as common as many other butterflies. However, in all it's wisdom, the Ohio legislature decided in 1975 to declare the Ladybug the official state insect.
Great idea! Has this been set up? More details please.
This should be the State Insect for Ohio. However it is not.
A beautiful Tortoiseshell. Ours is polydactyl and little Maggie Mae is right here helping me type this! So cute!
Someone is going to be getting a great deal on a truly great camera! One of the best bridge cameras IMO.
Just for the record, those are American Toads, technically not "frogs." And those "loud sounds" are called "trilling," which only the males do... calling for the females of course.
Here us what the GPS looked like in our car before going down that mountain.
Stood there back in June. We drove down the mountain and took that first little road to the left in your picture. Into Valley of the Gods. Spectacular! Do I have it right?
Just for the record, that is not a Black swallowtail. It's the Spicebush swallowtail. But nice capture!
Recently bought the V600 from B&H, around $190. The CD included to download drivers, User Guide, etc was not compatible with Win 10. Had to uninstall all drivers and use a confusing (for me) installation process provided on their website. Called their tech support (obviously in India or there-abouts) three times, about a half hr difficult conversation each time. Still not sure it is running right. Anyway, just wanted to share my experience. Will keep trying to learn its proper use.
