A place to show your bridge camera picks, learn about bridge cameras, what they do and how they do. Some of the uhhers do not consider them real cameras, I beg to differ. I have some extraordinary pictures and I am sure you have some as well. Come join me on the bridge.

Go for it!! I'm sure many will chime in both positive and negative..... some of them do make fine pictures, like any camera you have to make the best of their capabilities!

I would suggest you contact Sony and explain your problem. In this imperfect world not everything is caught by quality control, but they are willing to correct/replace if they are made aware of it. I had the same problem with a Fuji bridge and another Hog just had the same problem corrected by Sony.

You should include cell phone cameras in that, as some are good enough now to be the bridge camera.

From my viewpoint, anything under 15x is not really a bridge camera, but I would not exclude cellphones.

I was not aware that a bridge had to be a superzoom, only that it allowed more user-control than a point and shoot. Perhaps at this point in a fledging Section it would be a good idea to determine the proper definition of a bridge as recognized in the world of cameras.

Anyone who truly believes a bridge camera is not a real camera is not very bright. There are bridge cameras that cost more than some DSLR'S and MILC'S, I know, I own one, a Canon G1X III.

As far as a forum strictly for bridge cameras, I personally don't see a need. It's just another camera.
