1. Broken Dreams
2. No One Home
Thank you all for the kind words. As for the windows I believe what you see is plastic taped over the window opening. The property was posted and I was limited as to where I could stand. A person I know told me that she knew the family that lived there roughly 50-60 years ago. That is all I know about it.

Not long after I took this photo the house was demolished. Because there was a high bank with a road just in front of the house, I had to use a wide angle lens (Sigma 10-20mm)on the Canon 70D to get any shots at all.
Thank you. Much appreciated
Simple lighting and high contrast for these two.

2. Sun Blinds
Thank you. I shall have to learn how to do that.
This one I call "Slinky Torus". Focus stacked 9 shots using Canon T3i with Sigma 105 macro.
Thank you all, good advice is always good.
It could be both but you are correct. I meant to have the book titles in sharp focus but missed it a little.
My first post. I took up digital photography after retirement about 10-12 years ago. I really enjoy it but the learning curve is longer than it used to be. My shooting is about 50/50; indoors (table top mostly) and outdoors. I like the old and quirky and unusual. Feel free to critique and make suggestions. I have donned my armor and girded the loins.
Back in the 60's I had and used 2 Kalimar 660 single lens reflex cameras with standard (80mm), wide angle, and telephoto lenses. The cameras used 120 roll film for 2 1/4 square negatives and positives. The lens were very good but the bodies were not so good.
Check out Affinity Photo. It does about everything PhotoShop and PhotoShop Elements does for a onetime cost of $50.00 (no subscription). I made the change a little over a year ago and never looked back. I really like it.
About a year ago I got fed up with Photoshop and PS Elements and went to Affinity Photo and have never looked back. It is cheap ($50.00) and no subscription I like it much more than Adobe.
