I am looking for a messenger bag for my camera gear when I don't want to carry my entire back pack and looking for suggestions from those who have had good experience with bags.
Thanks

I've had a Tenba messenger bag for the past 10+ years and it is an EXCELLENT product. Still like brand new. They put lots of thought into their products and I am thououghly happy with it.

I and my daughters use Blurb. So easy to use. Excellent grade of paper and hard bound books are impressive.

I have old photos of church affairs of 50-70 years ago. I read once that soaking the photos in water will enable unrolling without cracking. I did this and it worked wonderfully. I soaked the rolled up photo in water for a few hours then safely unrolled it and put it on a dry towel and covered it with another dry towel. I also applied weight over the towels by way of heavy books. Worked perfectly.

Macs have as part of free programs Photos, iMovie, iTunes. For photos, I simply import from the SD card directly into Photos. Then to backup my photos I create a folder on the desktop (to do this while in Finder click Command+Shift+N) and name it "Backup Photos 2018" Within that folder I create additional folders (January,February, March etc). Then I drag photos from Photos into the appropriate new folder and segregate the images labeling them by Year-Month-Day and description. Using this method I have organized my, my dad's and granddad's photos dating from the 1920's to the present. So easy to find photos with this set up. I then transfer these files to an external hard drive and store them in a different location for safe keeping.

Our church will host "A Night to Shine" a program initiated by the Tim Tebow Foundation. It is like a "Prom" night for physically and mentally challenged teens and is a heart warming event for the attendees as well as the hundred or so volunteers that make the evening possible. I am in charge of the photography portion of the event. We take portraits of each attendee and print a 5x7 print for them to take home at evening's end.
Last year I used my Canon TS9020 and the prints were great but the time it took was problematic. Thankfully there was a young man with a photo booth there and he offered to print some of the photos for us at no cost.
Does anyone have suggestions as to printers I could use? Is it possible to rent rapid printers? I'd even be willing to buy a few cheap ink jet printers just for the evening. The joy it brings to the young people is worth the expense.

By all means get the iMac but DON'T buy the RAM from Apple (too expensive) I bought my iMac with 8GB of RAM from Apple but then installed two 16GB of RAM myself that I bought from OWC (Other World Computing). Infinitely easy to install. They show you with video how to do it. Took 4 minutes to do. I now have 40GB at a fraction of the price. Hope this helps. Visit OWC.com

Hello all, getting some conflicting info and would like your collective input before I pull the trigger. My 2011 iMac with 8GB of ram is cutting it anymore now that I am creating 50+MB Raw files in LR Classic CC. Doing a 3 exposure HDR is taking 45 minutes. Plan to upgrade a new 27" iMac and it's shaping up to set me back $2-3k. Info from sources I have been listening to advise an iMac with 3.5Ghz clock speed and 32GB of ram but the folks at Apple are telling me that doing still and not video that 16GB should be fine. Spending this much money I do not want to make a mistake and undersize it. It will have a 1TB hard drive but I already have an external Toshiba 1TB that all my photos go on and I use the Apple Time Machine for cloud based backups. Appreciate your take on the ram issue.

Thx Pat
