Can anyone recommend a photo-album app or company? I used Apple for this in the past, but they discontinued that service. I’m looking to create a nice bound book of printed photos from my digital library. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I've had great success with 1-off books from Shutterfly.

I've made lots of theme books, and I was never disappointed with Adoramapix. They often have sales. I don't use their ready-made page designs. I start with a blank page and put the pictures where I want them. The "paper" is heavy, and the books open flat.

1 Adoramapix.
They use an excellent grade of phot paper and you can even include two page spreads. 6 books to date and no complaints.

Several years using Shutterfly. We formulate our albums on their site and order when they have a good sale.

We also had them do a 20 X 30 True Color Glossy Finish print on metal of a family portrait with 60 people. Great job and ready to hang.

I've been using Picaboo for over ten years.

They have always been happy with them. One book, intended as a Chistmas gift arrived with a dented corner. I contacted them and they got me a new copy in two days for free in two days despite the Christmas rush. I like their lay-flat book. It prints pictures right out to the edge and you can do two page spreads for panoramas etc.

I've done a few on Shutterfly. They come out great.
I found the first one to take a lot of time figuring the whole thing out but subsequent ones fly.
They often have sales also

The best book I ever saw, however, was one my brother-in-law did of black and white photos he took in the Smokies. He printed the photos and then mounted them in an album. You can't beat actual prints that are done well. You have the option of picking the paper they're printed on as well. In his, he mounted one photo per page. I can't tell you the actual size.

I am very happy with ShutterFly. I can build my album and add or subtract as I need. They also have a cloud system that I can photo's to in storage. After I build exactly what I want I wait until they have a sale on what I want. The have sales all the time.

I use Shutterfly and have been very happy with the results. I am currently waiting for their unlimited pages sale which brings the cost very low. Pay for the basic book and then add unlimited pages up to their max number allowed.
