It has to do with how the accounts are titled not whether the money is in checking, savings or CDs, etc. A wife can have an individual account at a bank with husband as beneficiary. (Insured to $250,000) The husband can have an individual account with wife as beneficiary. (Insured to $250,000.) The husband and wife can have a joint account at the same bank. (Insured to $250,000) The wife can have an IRA account at this same bank. (Insured to $250,000.) Likewise the husband IRA account. (Insured to $250,000.) There are more possibilities as others have stated but this alone would be insurance of 1.25 million at a single institution. Another bank starts all over again.

I am 91 and identify with all this. Especially about getting up from the floor. I love to kayak and have no problem with transporting my kayak, handling it, or the navigation and paddling part. What I absolutely cannot do is get out of the cockpit once I am down in there in a sitting position. My answer: Keep my phone and identification in a waterproof bag and literally dump myself out in shallow water by rolling the kayak over. It works but I am always hoping no one is around to watch the spectacle.

As a senior citizen (90 years old), being able to lift, load, unload and get in and out of the kayak became the most important factors to me along with cost. After owning dozens of kayaks I have settled on the Hurricane Santee Sport as the kayak that meets my needs most effectively. This kayak is 12 feet long, tracks super and only weighs 38 pounds so you can carry in with one hand. It has an oversize cockpit which allows us seniors to get in and out easily. New is around $1100 but used ones are usually available on Craigslist if you keep looking for a few weeks and run anywhere from $400-$800 and well worth it.

Honestly, I have left this story several times and keep coming back and reading it again and looking at the pictures. This is just a wonderful story of kindness, particularly toward the stranger, that it needs publication in my opinion. For you to be so caring and concerned to capture these special moments for this couple is just inspirational to me and encourages me that there is hope. I have shared it with some friends who all tell me that it has been a blessing to them also.

There was a Windows 10 update around October 10 that may be the cause. I think this is referred to on the HP website. I have the same problem exactly arising in the last few days. Since I only am working with one printer I just connected via cable and am good to go. Go to HP software download page and look to right hand area for notice about this.

Ed is correct. The expenses should not come out of your share. He is scamming you. He should pay the expenses and you get a full 50%. Otherwise it looks ok.
