Just an FYI for those who do not know about this bird. Back in the mid-fifties, they were an endangered species. They have made a made a marvelous comeback through great conservation efforts by many environmental groups. They were taken off the endangered lists years ago. My dad produced and shot a nature film of this then rare bird starting in the Everglades. The film was seen around the country in HS biology classes.
My first reaction to the image was, "Why's this so flat looking?" I don't think it has anything to do with you being at fault for composition or editing. It looks looks flat because it has few if any shadows, few if any bright spots, no white caps on the water, no sun in the sky, no sails at full mast or distinct cloud formations and no large vessels to enhance your subject.
I just think that Mother Nature conspired against you getting a good image. Composition is fine, lagniappe or no lagniappe (which means gift with purchase) you just didn't have much to work with.
Excellent photos of the waxwings and the bird bringing building materials for his mate. Gorgeous.
Why aren't you using Mojave? It's the current operating system for MAC.

Ditch all the garish pp tendencies would be my first thought
I have no idea what "garish pp tendencies" means. Is that some sort of photo lingo?

A very GOOD question ! Here is my four...
Quality of light and placement
Choice and treatment of backround.
My Facial stabilizers ( aids in compositional and AF accuracies)
Proper shutter speed for the scenario
..
I have no idea what you mean by "My Facial stabilizers."

But I think if the picture is overall out of focus it doesn't matter about getting the other things right.
Nothing is more annoying than a photo that is out-of-focus, even if it's deliberate. My eyes and my mind always aim to keep things in focus for my brain. If things are out of focus it's not normal and very unsettling. It should be thus with photos. I don't wander around trying to look at things out of focus.

I really like 2,7,8,9. I know that tattoos are all the rage today and have seen some really awesome ones but I really think they are a distraction. She is very pretty but that tattoo across her chest isn't. Number 9 would probably be the only photo I would be happy with since it shows very little of her tattoo. JUST MY PERSONAL OPINION.
You were asked for an opinion on the work not what you think about tattoos or what she looks like. Why did you change the topic? That's not being very fair.
No one cares about your opinion of tattoos. The question asked was about the quality of the images.
Cute shot. The image is poorly focused for a camera with AF. You could have also shot at a higher ISO and a faster shutter speed of 1/125. Why the strobe didn’t fill, I don’t really know. But I might have gotten in between the window and the subject to eliminate the shadows altogether and ditched the strobe.
Extremely fine work. Very impressive images.
I think so. Nice photoshopping.
