Just an FYI for those who do not know about this bird. Back in the mid-fifties, they were an endangered species. They have made a made a marvelous comeback through great conservation efforts by many environmental groups. They were taken off the endangered lists years ago. My dad produced and shot a nature film of this then rare bird starting in the Everglades. The film was seen around the country in HS biology classes.

I always look at your work and enjoy it, but rarely comment. This shot, however, is outstanding!

It's a great image that could benefit from more judicious cropping that would put the subject out of "dead center." And a tighter crop would let the tree trunk emerge has a striking diagonal element in a new composition.

I disagree with the tighter crop as it eliminates the reflections in the water that adds to the beauty of the photograph.

Nice shot and reflection. I love photographing Snowy and Great Egrets along with their close relatives, herons and bitterns.

Great info, Stoshik, and many people are not aware how close to extinction some of these creatures came to be!
