Diligence is the mother of good luck. Having a cropped-sensor camera is like dating your cousin.

There is a number of professional, semi-pro photographers and highly advanced photographers that I know who have migrated from full frame to Micro 4/3rds and they are happy with their results. Full frame is not always the best for every photographer.

I, myself, use a Canon R7 mirrorless (APS-C) with Canon lenses. I have never wanted to switch back to full frame.

David Busch because he knows how to explain in plain English and has worked closely with each camera he writes a book on. I've used David Busch books for several years. He has even answered an e-mail that I sent him. His books are far better than the camera manual! Plus, he has many illustrations.

I also have the Canon R7 and purchased the following book: "David Busch's Canon EOS R7 Guide to Digital Photography". It us much better than the Canon Manual. Shop around on line from Walmart to Amazon to get the best price.

Also, down load the Canon manual PDF file because you will still need the manual!

Use the following depth of field chart. If you do not see your specific camera model listed, choose a camera that has the same sensor size as your camera (full frame, APS-C, Micro 4/3rds, etc. No one can tell you what focal length and aperture to use since they do not know the distance you will be from each car or part of a car. DOF Master even has a chart function so that you can print off charts and take them with you. https://www.dofmaster.com

I have the R7 after having the 7D and 7D MKii. I am glad I upgraded to the R7.

Canon has a sale on a refurbished R7 with lens at a very good price. Here is the link https://www.usa.canon.com/content/canon/en/search.html?q=R7&r=products

The R7 will focus faster and shoot faster than the 7D MKii and you can use your lenses with an adapter on the R7.

Do not sell your camera equipment! Basal Cell cancer is the most common form of cancer and on the outermost layer of the skin. My wife, myself and many friends have had Basal Cell a couple of times for each of us and no big deal. My wife had the same surgery you are scheduled for with no problems or after effects. That special surgery had to be done because of close proximity to the eye. Very shortly everything healed just fine for her.

This is an example of AI Artificial Intelligence and is not a real image. I do not think that AI should be included in UHH as IA should not be submitted into any photo contests!

I had the same problem the third time I used the Canon adapter and the Tamron 18-400mm lens. I turned the camera off, took off the Canon adapter from the camera and lens. I then put the Canon adapter on the Tamron 18-400mm lens, and put them on my R7. I then I turned on my R7. The R7 and Tamron lens started to communicate like they should. I have not had any problems with the Tamron lens since then. Have fun.

A prime lens is not as important today because of the much higher quality of today's Zoom lenses. It is easier to carry a choice of overlapping zoom lenses than a bunch of primary lenses which are strictly a fixed focal length.

I had the 7D then the 7D MKii and now the R7. I will not go back to DSLR after having the mirrorless R7 because what you see is what you get. Plus, the focusing is so much faster with the R7.

A friend of mine had the 5D, latest mark whatever that is. He went on a photoshoot and was so disappointed because he had full frame and could not get the the better wildlife shots in the everglades that those with APS-C got. He purchased the Canon 7D MKii and uses his crop sensor camera over 90% of the time and lets his full frame camera sit.

I much prefer the crop sensor of the R7 mirrorless plus the extra features vs the DSLR.

You cannot go wrong with the R7.

Single point center focus is most widely used for most things. The other specialized points and types of focus on the new mirrorless cameras greatly help you with specialized types of more critical focusing conditions.
