Yes, I am influenced by the camera feature. Currently an iPhone 6 user it is time to upgrade the phone for a few reasons; camera being only one of the reasons. Apps on 11 will be faster, screen will be bigger, battery life will be longer, etc. The 6 still works fine, for 85% of my needs/use, but the 15% has me willing:
At Disney World, the App on the 6 is frustrating, as well as other apps I use regularly. The camera is an influencing bonus. Using Disney (vacation time) again as an example: the phone camera is more than adequate for snapshots (and Disney will take photos with a DSLR free all over all 4-parks)
When on vacation, I want to be a Tourist! When I carry DSLR, or Full Frame Mirrorless, Camera(s) I’m no longer on vacation… I’m working.
I NEED to separate work from Vacation time. And I do not need to print mural sized copies of my vacation.
It is still a pleasure to shoot with a Full Frame Body with real Glass, and revel in the quality and ability to use the results commercially. But it is equally a pleasure to carry an 8 oz point & shoot that makes phone calls, runs apps, surfs the WWW, tracks my family, gives me on-demand GPS directions, and a few thousand other options AND helps me be in vacation mode not work mode while still maintaining a full mobile office.
The iPhone is a complimentary device, not a replacement for full-frame with interchangeable glass. And when I send a picture (or video) of a 5-year-old gleefully interacting with Mickey… or other family members, no one cares if the photo came from an iPhone, a Sony A-7 or a Nikon 850; but I would regret missing that precious moment.

Loved your honest response and appreciation for the "now" photo using an iPhone. Thanks
