Baltimore has a very old shot tower.
Catfish…a pretty big one…
#2 is not a hornbill. It is a toucan.
Wow! Where is Hunt’s Mesa?
Best Stonehenge shots I have ever seen. Well done!
You have an amazing view from your deck.
Greater Scaup, Lesser Scaup, and Ring-necked Duck are different species but closely related and in the same genus, Aythya, along with Redhead, Canvasback and other species from other continents. I think the Ring-necked Duck would have been better named Ring-billed.
Worth the effort! Fine work.
Thank goodness! I feared hate mail, but thought it needed to be said. It seems to me that many Hogs spend more time processing than photographing. I don’t mean this as critical, just an observation: whatever floats your boat.
It is not cheating, but it may be competing. This forum has made that clear to me. Personally, I don’t enjoy time working on a computer so I don’t edit my shots. Other things force me to spend more time than I like chained to the computer. To me, the fun of photography is the time in the field and the editing is drudgery. Am I alone feeling this way?
Actually, this is two male Mute Swans displaying aggressive territorial behavior. This has nothing to do with love. This is a common mistake: confusing what humans might do with what animals are really doing. The enlarged black knobs at the base of the bills tells us they are both males and the raised wings indicate a fighting posture.

I took this picture at Lake Morton in Lakeland Florida. Even Birds show Love.
Actually, these are two male Mute Swans. The behavior depicted is not affection. It is territorial and aggressive. Note the raised wings.
