Good evening,
I have been doing manual photography for about a year. I have attended a few adult junior college classes on using manual. One of the adult students mentioned Serge Ramelli courses as a way to use my learning on a higher level. I researched the reviews about his system and they were 50/50 on using it. I trust the expertise here for solid advice. Thank you for your time.

Thank you for the advice and suggestions. I now have a few avenues to try. I will try your guidance and advice for the remote. As for a bigger camera, I will upgrade when I have gone from beginner to more than a hobby. Again thank you for always being helpful.

I tried the Pluto and it didn’t preform as advertised. I saw a photographer with a larger trigger that controlled his Nikon from his cell phone. He left before I got the name of it. I am trying to capture hummingbirds without sitting and waiting and other remote triggered functions. Thank you in advance for all your help and knowledge.

big-guy,
I apologize for the lack of info. my camera is a Nikon D5600, I was unable to get the camera to respond. I tried several approaches from focusing with the lights on and then turn off auto focus and switched to manual. I set to ISO in the menu to 100 yet the live view was flashing 8000. I read through the manual and this changing in ISO wasn't covered. My question was more of what settings are needed with this camera. I was at F22, ISO 100, 6 lumen flashlight, shutter was 8 seconds, distance was 15-20 inches away. I am really unsure as to what I desire as a response. No one in class uses a Nikon model larger than D60.If I need more info please let me know. Thank you.

I am learning about painting with light in college. I was unable to do the inclass project. I set my F stop to 22, exposure to 8 seconds, ISO to 100 and focused on my object in auto then switching to manual. It didn’t work, the ISO on my viewer was selected 100 and showing 8000 flashing on the viewer. I pressed the trigger on my camera and got a “too dark” on the viewer. I tried the online manual and my instructor since the students mainly use Canons. Any idea as to where to get the settings for taking painting with light. Thank you in advance.

Hi my name is Scott, I am new to non auto photography. I took a beginner class last fall in community college. I enjoyed learning about my Nikon D5600 and getting a stronger foundation in photography. I’m 64 yrs old and a science teacher. I posted a question about clouds and got a lot of awesome advice. Not sure of the direction will follow while taking pictures. I love taking zoo photos with my daughter and granddaughter and shooting clouds. I look forward to learning from each thread and progress in my knowledge. Thank you for all your knowledge.

I am fairly new at shooting in different mode other than auto. I took a college class on the other modes and have a good start on my Nikon 5600. I however am finding it hard to shooting clouds and getting the dynamics of the photo. Any help on lens to use and tips are greatly appreciated.
