Makes me think of old Emory Kolb and his brother, that is cloae to the view from their house/studio at the head of the trail.
Remarkable men, to say the least, and I am proud to say I was privileged to shake his hand and speak with him on three occasions.
You honor their tradition. Good footsteps to follow.
Looks like the cover of a science fiction book!
Too beautiful for words, thank you for sharing.
Definitely a feature not a bug!
Beautiful .
Don't go and spoil the fun, I thought it was all real!
Since Kroger is now the only near-by grocery, and their gas station is kne of the lowest prices anyway...their card gets me a $.35- .50 a gallon discount every month.
I was expecting Boy Scout Jamboree 1968 ( Boy Scouts of America)!
It looked weird with all of those tents so close together. Did it feel the same as in the psst?
Like a frame from an Orson Welles film.
Grandpa was a millwright at Duesenberg factory (building is full of artist's and architech's studios now) they let him drive cars on weekends before the coach work went on. Try to find pix of him courting grandma...with dusters, goggles, and gauntlets sitting on naked chasis and engine.

Did you ever meet the guys in Lynyrd Skynyrd? Ronnie? I was only 13 in 1977 when the worst day in music history happened so I never saw them live my husband did one week prior. They are sacred in our house
They were after "my time."
Sorry.
Didn't get to keep any of those shoots. Worked for local teen magazine, when they went bankrupt I learned none of my stuff was my stuff. Negatives always stayed with processor, all I ever had was contacts and memories. Somewhere I have a couple 5x7s. Shot most everyone
around in '66-'68 except the Beatles and Janice.
Rolling Stoned dressing room (1966.) Securoty guard herded me in right behind them ("All them long haired look alike to me!) Got a dozen (natural light of course I'm no philistine) before Jagger yelled " Who's THAT bugger?"
Second was filming out the back of our station wagon while driving along the flight line at Nellis AFB
Interesting few hours at Provost Marshall's HQ.

For us old guys. I worked on Shuttle & Hubble. My stepson worked on this.
Remember how we were glued to a TV in the 60s?
Remember the dreams and fantasies that went through our heads?
Space X gives us 12 minutes that bring them all rushing back.
Watch this full screen.
Enjoy the trip back.
I don't remember ironic beards in Apollo
