I worked the grave yard shift as a Nursing Assistant at a Catholic hospital. I meet a delightful old woman named Marion who had no family and her Doctor had just told her she could no longer care for herself and must be discharged to a nursing home. She was very upset. I felt so sorry for her and assured her that I would help her in any way that I could in any decision she made. After my shift was over, I stopped by Marion's room to give her a hug and say good by. I would see her later as i was scheduled to work that evening also
I was a young mother of two girls and after seeing my husband off to work and the girls off to the babysitter exhausted I climbed into bed for a few hours sleep before my family would return. At 12:07 pm I bolted awake and knew that I had to write my friend Marion a card to tell her I cared and bring her cheer.I thought it strange to be awakened in such a manner being so tired but the feeling of Marion was so strong on my mind.
Arriving at work that evening ,I peeked in to say hi to Marion and see how her day was, when I was shocked to see the room cleared and the mattress rolled up on the bed.I ran to the nursing station to learn that Marion had passed, looking down at her death certificate the time of death was 12:07Pm
I always wonder if on her way to Heaven, Marion stopped to say thank you and good by.

Each one of these groups, according to right wing fear mongers, is hell bent on destroying this country. Funny, in all of these years of trying, this country is still pretty strong. Can one of the Republicans out there tell me what it's like to distrust virtually everyone you meet? What a horrible way to have to go through life, constantly paranoid about the motives of people who may not look like you. So sad.
