Congratulations. I got the bug (Sourdough Bug) about a month ago. It took me four tries to get something edible. There really is an art involved in making it. I think I am kinda sorta getting the hang of it now. I think I could have better results if I had a Dutch Oven. I have been using Corning ware but this is not ideal. I bought my wife an "Oven Stone" for Christmas. Of course, she always accuses me of buying her something I want. :-). I am on Flickr also. I will get in touch with you there.

No, it means SICK.
Anyone who worships guns or pictures of guns is sick.
BTW, I spent two tours in Vietnam. I have reason for my comments.

In this era of Covid19, we see on TV that virtually all major professional sports are playing again...but there are no fans in the stands. We see boo-koo cardboard people in the first few rows, and that's it!

For example, in the NFL, the highest team salary is $271,000,000. and the vast majority of NFL teams have a team salary > $200,000,000. The same notion of team salaries, although to a lesser dollar extent, holds true for professional baseball, basketball, hockey & soccer.

The question becomes: How on earth can teams (in any sport) pay their players such exorbitant salaries with only cardboard people in the stands?
In this era of Covid19, we see on TV that virtuall... (show quote)

I like the fact that there is little to no college football this year. Maybe my Saturday TV viewing will get more diversity now. Can't stand the fact that that is all there used to be on Saturdays. Universities have TV sports to rake in money from TV coverage so they can vastly over pay their Athletic Directors and University heads. Very few of the athletes go on to the pro ranks so they get their bodies wrecked just so the wealthy can get even wealthier.

If the goal is to protect others from you, then you should never wear a mask with exhalation valve in public. An asymptomatic infected person wearing any mask with an exhalation valve, risks infecting everyone that comes near.

So, are you saying don't wear any mask and everyone will be safer?

There is nothing to prevent you from wearing a cloth mask over an N95 and like I said, if you don't have an infection then the N95 will help prevent you from getting it and if you don't get it, you will not pass on to others. I guess that is a difficult concept for some.

Denial is NOT a river in Egypt.

The first U.S. death was on Feb. 28th, so the 128,621 deaths have occurred in just four months.

Funny.

Those one-way valves in the masks are bad because they let exhaled breath escape, perfectly defeating the purpose of the mask. I'm glad to see mention of it in today's news.

This is true about the N-95 having a one way valve but it will help you from getting the virus from someone else and if you don't get it, then you are not going to pass it along to someone else. Of course, there is also the option of wearing a cloth mask over the N-95. Also, more mention should be made of virus load exposure and for how long. the "95" means it is 95% effective so if one is worn for extended periods of time in a high concentration area, it may not offer as much protection. For example, in scuba diving it is the length of time and the depth or partial pressure that has to be taken into account. For work in radiation areas, the concentration plus the time are the two factors. More mention should be made of the concentration and time of exposure in the virus situation. Of course, we are still learning about such things.

Excellent. The more I see pictures of birds in flight, the more I am convinced that we will never master and duplicate the intricacies and aerodynamics of birds. At one time, I flew airplanes and I am amazed.

Some pictures of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. These have been in my camera for about 18 months and just now getting around to playing with them. I have been using Akvis for rendering Oil Paints and Water Color and Affinity Photo to rendering Sketch pictures using multiple layers and blend modes. Since I took these pictures, the Rail Road trestle walkway was destroyed by a train derailment. This was part of the Appalachian Trail so a work around will have to be put in place until the walkway is repaired. More pictures will follow
