I have a Nikon Coolscan and load one at a time Is there a loader I can get that automatically feeds the scanner one at a time from a bunch of slides ?
Yes, depending on the model. I have the Nikon 4000 ED scanner and a few years ago found a NIB Nikon SF- 200(S) Slde Feeder on Ebay. Capacity is 50 slides, but I can routinely do 40 without jamming, assuming the slides aren't too warped or damaged.
I also had issues ordering a longer plate.
Customer Service at contact@bemyar.com provided me with a separate order link.
I was skeptical but went ahead and ordered one - $77.07 including shipping, from France and it arrived in about two weeks.
It's worth noting that it is intended for use with long telephoto lenses.
I tried it shooting baseball with a Canon 5D Mark IV and Canon 100-400mm VII lens mounted on a monopod. The body w/lens is balanced and remains in position when you let go, even if pointed upward or downward. It worked great. No issues, no complaints.
Thanks!
When I was just starting out my "keeper" rate was about 30%, and in later years with experience and better equipment it was around 90%. I wish I had the Canon 5D Mark IV since it has anti-flicker technology to compensate for poor lighting in the older gyms.
I've shot several gymnastics meets with a Canon 5D Mark III and Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L.
I used a Gitzo Monopod Series 4 to support the camera and lens, and a Manfrotto 234RC Monopod Head so I could easily tilt and swivel in any direction.
Typical settings depending on the gym lighting were:
ISO 8000
f/2.8
1/640
I primarily use Topaz Adjust for landscapes.

Don't mind the Peanut Gallery.

Most airlines require carry-on items to have an external linear measurement that is equal to or less than 45.0" (114.3 cm). The external dimensions of this case add up to 39.0" (99.1 cm)
I took a trip to Alaska and flew on a few regional jets, and purchased the Think Tank Airport Commuter that was designed for this purpose. If the airplane had an overhead compartment, it fit, including the smaller ones.
Great bag, very high quality, durable. Not cheap, but I would buy it again in a heartbeat. Holds a bunch of equipment.
The Canon CanoScan 9000F Mark ll is an amazing scanner.
