I just receive Topaz Studio 2 free a bit ago. It seems to have some interesting new features that I will have to try out soon. Nice that it was a free upgrade. In contrast, Luminar 4 is purchased upgrade current of $49 for owners of Lunimar 3. I note that Topaz Studio was free already; you just had to purchase special plugins you desired.

Sorry, but I was not aware until I checked the Topaz Labs website that Topaz Studio 2 is not free but costs $99.99 normally and $79.99 introductory. The Topaz Studio was free. At least those that had Topaz Studio are getting the upgrade for free. Thanks Topaz Labs.

I have Topaz Studio and I didn't get an upgrade to version 2. It updated to version 1.14.5 and my AI Gigiapixel updated as well, but no free upgrades...No emails from Topaz either....

Topaz Studio was and is free. I purchased a couple of their plugins and it is my understanding that those purchases were what qualified me for the free upgrade to Topaz Studio 2. Just having Topaz Studio by itself did not qualify...

Looks like my AI purchases don't count towards the free upgrade of Studio 2... It says this " current AI Suite that do not count"... That's a bummer but as I mostly only use Lightroom, it's no big deal...

Why is buying software and paying for future updates a scam? That's the way software updates of all kinds have worked for the past 50 years. You really think for profit companies can afford to pay their staff salaries and give away new versions of their software for free? Do you get a free new camera when an updated version is released? Topaz 2 isn't free either unless you've already purchased filters.
