Anything can get damaged if it flies around or bumps up and down enough. Just use the common sense the Good Lord gave you and your camera and lens should be fine.

Wonderful first shot! I spent a while in Florida a couple years ago and I could not believe how many gators I saw in urban areas. They even sun along the roads. Nothing seems to scare them. And they don’t seem to scare you. Thanks for sharing.

I always thought Panasonic was the poor mans Leica. They actually use Leica lenses on some of their models.

This is actually a copy of an old 40 year old slide. If you want to see the original let me know.

Do you have an old slide projector? I could show you how to duplicate hundreds of slides in a relatively short time. Let me know.

Try Shutterfly. Or Walgreens. You can upload to their sites and share albums with others. Works for me. And they are both free.

That’s the time to say MYOB. He does not know what he is talking about. EF lenses are all usable on Canon crop sensor bodies. But you should not use EF-S lenses on full frame bodies.

Might as well be black and white, no?

I like color photos with not much color in them. But there is color in this one, blue tints in the sky line and brown in the sand. It was exposed as a silhouette more or less. If I had opened it up much more I would have lost detail in the water. But to each his own.

It's a lot more doing. Although I shoot only in color and don't have the ability seeing the image appearing on the prints but I develop and make color prints in my own darkroom. That's all the fun.

I used to develop color and b&w. I also made prints from slides with a process called Cibachrome. It was a way to an end - that being the final result of the print. I guess there was some fun involved but I don’t miss it. I can get the final result now with a lot less effort. Even a phone call was a lot more effort back then but I would never go back to a dial phone and long distance charges. I’m glad though that you are exploring the process of film development. Have fun!
