Costa Rica is not all rain forest. The west is very dry. The longer the lens the better. I used a 18-300 on a crop sensor camera and it was not enough is some cases.

Two questions about light balance in lightroom. What do I do in Lightroom to make a raw photo appear as if it were shot with an orange filter? Can I make a raw photo appear as if it were illuminated with ultraviolet light? If so how?

There’s several usernames I skip right over, hardly ever read a word. Not saying I disagree with them. I just don’t need endless looong pages of non-nutritional filler on my plate. But you can see by the replies that many Hogsters just eat that stuff right up !

I value burkphoto's informative responses

I tried your method. It worked very well and showed that my sensor has many more spots that I thought it did.

I have a Nikon D7200 that has spots on the sensor. I have not turned on auto clean when camera is turned on. Is there any reason to not set it to clean the sensor each time I turn on the camera?

Thank you everybody, I tried shooting with auto focus at easy to focus and hard to focus objects and it fired on the easy to focus ones and not one the hard to focus ones. So the camera seems to okay, it just thinks that it is smarter than I am and it is probably right.

I have a Nikon D7200 with a Nikkor 18-300mm zoom. Sometimes when I press the shutter button, nothing happens. It seems to be intermittent. I have back button focus and shoot in manual with auto focus on. If I switch to manual focus the shutter seems to work when I press the shutter button. What do I need to do to fix this problem? I only started about a year after I bought the camera.

The image your provided is exactly what I need to do. I am surprised that you did not use an orange filter. I will not go back to film. and will try to remove the UV light post processing in photoshop.

I need to photograph DNA in a gel. A chemical is combined with the DNA that absorbs UV light and glows orange light. I have used an orange filter on a Polaroid camera to filter out the UV and just record the orange color. I want to use my Nikon 7200 but do not have an orange filter. If I shoot in raw, can I remove the UV post-processing in photoshop?
