[quote=dpullum]I worked in fiber testing, polyester, nylon, rayon as my first industrial job. Spider silk indeed surpassed the strength of man-made fibers.
Excellent documentary... but beyond being documentary, the photo has a lively swirl to it, depth in the center, and dynamics of moving droplets on the rise especially on the left lower. Well taken, Robert, it is a mixture of skill and luck.[/quot
I studied textiles in college and what you say is very true----That spider web is stronger than any man-made fibers. The problem is that they don't know how to harvest it. If they could, they would.
What a beautiful horse. Could you post more pictures of it from all angles? I've never seen one like that. Is it an Appaloosa?
Somehow I missed #1 and #3. I really enjoyed #2. Wish you would post the links to those, too. Thanks
The pictures and the explanations were great! I love cashews but knew they were complicated. No wonder they are expensive. Just exactly where is this? Where do they grow?
Washing dishes isn't all that bad. It saves money, actually!!

One day it just stopped working i.e. When i tried to open a file after making edits, the working area of the screen turns solid white and starts flashing. I can't get any help from Adobe and user groups can't explain it.
Lightroom did a similar trick to me. I have the last copy of Lightroom that I bought. I don't use it that often, so I don't want to pay for a subscription I hardly use. One day while using it, I could no longer export!! I still can't and don't know what to do. Also, one day I opened it in Library Mode and it had Face Recognition on it and I couldn't get rid of it. Then one day 2-3 years later, it just disappeared. Lightroom has a mind of its own. It is too hard for me to deal with.
I really liked the 12 interesting facts you listed. How did you find out about the ride? How long in advance did you get reservations? How much did it cost? You mentioned 75. That must be state Route 75. Interstate 75 runs from north Michigan thru Atlanta to Jacksonville, Florida. What fun!! Great photos!!!
And, where was this tower for those of us who live in GA? How did you manage to find it? Thanks
"Steel doesn't have to be heated to its melting point to fail." OK, that explains why the top part of the building collapsed. But the lower part didn't get the same heat as the top. So wouldn't they still stand? Why did they collapse? There was no reason for them to collapse. Jet fuel burns fast and quickly then it's over. Was there enough material on the floors where the plane came in to heat fire to the degree necessary to weaken it that much? Also, it seems the area weakened would be local to the area, not the floors down below. To me, there always was something fishy going on. So much didn't make sense.
Sometimes the older child resents the arrival of a comparator. However, in this case, big brother adored his little brother. Altho they are in their 50s their care for each other is amazing.
I like the last one the best. If you look at the very top, it looks like it has a little face. Those are hard to do. You did great!!!
Your blue bottle is fantastic!! I collect blue bottles. Here are just a few. Most of mine are lucky finds at thrift stores.
Here are a few of my encounters with my favorite animals. Yes, I like spiders, too---the big garden type. They're fun to watch. The Owl is from Cochran Mill Nature Center, Atlanta and the Polo ponies are from Chukkar Farm, Atlanta. It would be nice if the Cedar Wax Wing encounter would happen more than just once a year.
Spiders are animals, too.
Owl at a nature center, Atlanta, GA
Polo Ponies, Atlanta, GA
Cedar Wax Wing. They come thru once a year and strip my bushes clean. That's the only reason I keep those bushes, just for them.
Do they taste as good as the fully ripe ones? Like the ones that ripen on the vine?

I hate it when that happens. But at $9.99 at month for both LR and PS it’s a really great deal. Constant updates for the best software out there. You should give it a try.
This kind of answer upsets me so much. So far this year I have used my LR TWO times, so paying $9.00 a month is ridiculous for all the times I don't use it. So it is not a "great" deal for some people.
