While photographing flowers in the backyard I saw a bird fly onto the top of a fence maybe 10 feet from me. I started photographing and then his twin brother decided to join us. There I was snapping photos of both birds while each was hopping around and flying from one part of the fence to another. You will notice each bird has a mouth full of food. The photos I am submitting are of both birds. I hope you enjoy them.

Please feel free to make any comments.

Jerry's post about the Everly Brothers brought this to mind. It is an all star lineup.

Chet Atkins, Mark Knopfler, Don & Phil Everly, Emmylou Harris, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson & Michael McDonald. Muscians: Larrie Londin, Darryl Dybka, David Hungate, Clayton Ivey, Terry McMillan, David Pack & Paul Yandell.

Nothing like an airshow to let you evaluate your panning skills! I know I am not very good but gave it a try starting around 1/60, 1/125 and finally settling on 1/320 just so I would get SOMETHING from the day! The goal is to capture not only prop blur but a complete circle. It is a combination of several factors including camera settings and even position of the sun! Ground shots are quite a bit easier, but man, the in flight shots really challenge me!

Here are a few of my keepers from the day. I was shooting with a Z9 in shutter priority mode with a 100-400 f4-5.6 S lens. Some with a 1.4 TC. I am still not totally sold on the 1.4 but working with it some more to see if I can solve the softness. It is not horrible, just enough for me to notice.

I got to spent one evening and 2 mornings with these two. The mornings I had them almost to myself. The little play fight lasted for a bit, but it was early morning and they were in the shadows. Had to have an ISO of like 8,000 so they are not super sharp and have been cropped.
I just love the heart on mom's chest!

Great shots!!! Why such a high ISO?

In the past I have purchased from KEH with zero problems but now there are more choices.

Has anyone had a positive experience with MPB.com? Feel free to suggest any other online stores that you have received good or great service from.

Thanks,

Mike

I have used MPB to purchase and sell used equipment. There prices have always been more reasonable then KEH and B&H and service is top notch.

Nice compassion, but the 3d effect, just does not work for me. When I put on the glasses I feel like I have one eye closed. I guess I just don't get it.
