Has anyone in UHH land been using the NIKKOR Z 400mm f/4.5 VR S with the Z TC-2.0x TELECONVERTER ? If so, I would appreciate your input and results with this combination. Thank you
Charles
Look at this handheld shot with that combo on a Z7…1/1250 at f/4.5…cropped to 13MP…
The Z6ii camera is perhaps the best all around mirrorless camera Nikon currently has to offer. It has all the sensor resolution most people need to produce high quality imaging, capable of prints up to 11”x14”. If you shoot bird images, you will need to shoot in dx mode which will give an effective field of vision of 1-1/2 the times of the used lens. If most of your shops will be birds, you may want to consider a crop sensor camera such as the Z50.
For general imaging, the Z6ii is your best bet, and will likely hold its value as it is very popular with enthusiasts as well as some professionals. Great choice for a camera!
If nobody has spoken for this, I would be most interested!
Here’s a photo op…..Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens .. Boothbay, ME.
Stunning!
Lest we forget, manufacturers are in business to make a profit, not to make products. The term for farming out production to another country is “comparative advantage”. It is more the norm today, than to only focus on the popular decision for a production site.
I do appreciate all the photos - just hungry for the details!
Thank you all for the tips! Guess I didn’t take it to the next level.
This is a great blog; however, when photos are posted, the camera, lens, and settings would be most appreciated by all. Otherwise, it is mostly a slide show!

Bower Conversion Adapter Tube (filter adapter for 52mm threads) for Nikon Coolpix "A". Perfect condition.
$5.00 to cover the postage. I can also include a Nikon 52mm lens/filter cap with it. If interested, send me a PM.
I would like this - Where do I send the $5 ?

I continue to be impressed with some outstanding photos that are taken with the most modest or outdated cameras.
The D70 is much more capable than many cameras out there.
Give it try!
