This is where your creativity comes in. I shoot many car shows in my area. I almost prefer not to go to parking lot shows as the people and cars are packed together.

If that is the case, concentrate on details. Tail lights, mirrors, reflections, trim on the car. Or if there are people congregating around, accept it and make them the story (great when there's kids or you can tell if the owner is telling a story to someone else). Or just be patient and wait for the crowd to disburse. If it's a car you really want to get, find the owner and let them know. They may tell you how long they are going to hang out. Sometimes, I'll ask an owner to close the hood for a couple of minutes. It lends to a more natural car. You normally don't see hoods up.

No settings will blur out the background unless you are taking detailed shots. I usually shoot with a 50mm, or use a 18- 35 (remember, creative)and depending on the light situation be in between f8 - f18. ISO will be 100-200. Take a couple test shots. Get low, get high, stay away from waist to face level, that's boring.

Here are some stuff I've done

18-270 for shear versatility & 10-20 for wide landscape etc.

Enjoy the trip!

I've had a D7200 for about 6 yrs. My lens include Nikon DX 70-200mm f2.8, Nikon 50mm f 1.4, 18-35mm, Sigma 18-35mm 1.8. I feel I cover just about all the bases except for wildlife. I'm happy with it and does a good job for its age and being a crop sensor. If I upgraded, it would be to full frame.

What sold me on it was it's sporting capabilities and 2 card slots.

My advise was to get 16gb of ram for the mac mini.

Then I was responding to this statement which was not true.." Not trying to get anyone in an uproar but "Once you go Mac you never look back" Enjoy your purchase."

Of course this person was stirring the pot.

Then YOU wanted me to PROVE a windows laptop would match a mac which the AMD which has the equivalent to 16 cores does. "Show me a $1400 Windows laptop that weighs under three pounds and can outrun a $1400 Mac laptop — completely silently — for ten hours, on battery alone. Oh wait, there isn't one! "

You stirred the pot and I responded with a computer that could compete and was 3 lbs but was not as power efficient or quiet. so what.

Then people stirred the pot bringing cars and stuff into it.

Then " someone has to stir the pot in favor of Windows. It’s pointless." you insinuate that I am stirring the pot. Who is really stirring the pot?

After everyone else stirred the pot and talk about how they developed applications on the mac and how much better it is I offer a option which will do everything the mac mini will do, and even more for less and have a monitor and is portable all in one solution that is faster than the Mac M1 and has a much better dedicated video card with 24gb of ram and 1tb nvme drive. It is just an option and a darn good one and I think is a better performer. But I agree get what you want

2020 ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 14" VR Ready FHD Gaming Laptop,8 cores AMD Ryzen 7 4800HS(Upto 4.2 GHzBeat i7-10750H),Backlight,HDMI,USB C,NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650,Gray,Win 10 (24GB RAM|1TB PCIe SSD)

$987

Lets compare this with the mac mini.

Apple M1 Chip with 8-Core CPU and 8-Core GPU
512GB Storage
Apple M1 chip with 8-core CPU, 8-core GPU, and 16-core Neural Engine
8GB unified memory
512GB SSD storage¹
Gigabit Ethernet

$899.00

For 100 buck more you get 24gb ram 1tb storage, but wait the PC has an extra nvme drive slot, you can add a 1tb Samsung drive for 100 bucks lesser brands for less, or even a 4tb nvme drive. You could go up to 32gb of ram but that is not necessary. From what I can see the apple site won't even allow you to upgrade the mac mini to 16gb ram which is totally necessary.

My new recommendation, run away from the mac mini... as fast as you can. Run to the PC. You will be happier in the long run (and it will play top tier games LOL).

Or revert to my previous recommendation. If you buy a mac, get 16gb ram minimum and you will be happy with this option if you are going to use it for video editing or heavy lifting..

Thank you for your time and effort for finding this.

There are TONS of great YouTube reviews of the M1 Mac mini. Start with MaxTech, https://www.youtube.com/c/MaxTechOfficial/search?query=mac%20mini

Luke Miani, Everyday Dad, Mark Ellis Reviews, are but a few of the trustable review sites. MANY others will pop up if you watch the one I linked.

My advice?

> Buy from Apple Refurbished. Same machine, same warranty as new, for about 15% less.

> Get 16GB Unified Memory and 1TB internal storage. The long-term performance will be far more satisfying than base models.

> Get all 8 graphics cores if you can find a refurb with that configuration.

> Check out OWC at https://eshop.macsales.com for peripherals like drives, docks, cables, and hubs. Also consider this:

https://www.charjenpro.com/products/ultimatedock — I use one and love it. It just works.

I have an M1 MacBook Air with 16GB and 1TB and all 8 graphics cores. It's great. After 13 months, I couldn't be happier.

The M1 Mini, M1 Air, M1 13" Pro, and 24" iMac are pretty similar in performance. Pick your form factor and boogie on...

M2 models will probably be here "soon," or so everyone says... But if you need one now, M1 machines are still awesome.

I'm an IT guy so I know the debate and debated my daughters over this. LOL

And you're right, 16gb of RAM or nothing. PC or Apple.

The M1 processor is the same that goes into the iMac and Macbooks. Only the physical (ie cooling) changes the performance slightly.

I'm thinking of purchasing one of these. I've done some research and realize I'll have to purchase all the peripherals, but still have a decent set up.

This will be my first Apple product. I'm not here to stir up the Windows vs Apple debate.

Does anyone use these and what is your experience? Good and bad, let's hear it!

Thanks in advance
