I'd take the 10-20 too.

I do not know Nikon lenses well, but can say from experience there and in (similar photographically) Ireland that you need a wide wide lens. I remain baffled as to what people use a 270 mm lens for on a vacation unless there are wild animals involved. Sheep in Scotland? Not so much. Far off shots of street scenes are, in my opinion, forgettable. You will be seeing castles, interesting street scenes, inside of churches, etc. You need wide.

Depends on what sort of photography you intend doing and how long you're going to be in each place. Having travelled England and Scotland extensively myself I can't see the 10-20mm lens being very useful and maybe you won't want to be changing lens which you'd probably need to with that lens. The 35mm prime would be good some of the time but you'll really need both wide angle and telephoto on many occasions so again you'd need to change lenses. The 18-70 would be good most of the time with better IQ than the 18-270mm. My experience has been that an 18-140mm is the best all round travel lens for the D5600 having good IQ with light weight. I would also however travel with a small pocket compact such as a Lumix TZ220

Tamron 18-270. Depending on size the Nikon 10-20 also. And if still enough room, the Nikon 35. But if forced to just one, it would have to be the 18-270.

My wife and I just did Scotland last November and have done Ireland a few years ago. I did all of my shots in Ireland with a 14-54 lens (28-108 in 35mm angle of view; was a little short sometimes) and about to 95% of my shots of Scotland were with my 12-100 (24-200 in 35mm angle of view). My other 5% was with my 300 (600 in 35mm angle of view) plus 1.4X and 2X teleconverters mostly for birds and distant land shots from the ferry.

As you can see we all have different opinions and that could be confusing to you. I am sure you have used the lenses listed and you should know which lenses fit better you subjects.
The Nikon 18-70 f3.5-4.5 AF-S is a very nice and sharp lens that could easily be the lens you will use more in your trip. The 10-20 as a wide angle zoom (15-30 with full frame) that it is will be useful at times IF you know how to use wide angles and when to use them.

As you can also see the 18-270 as a general purpose lens is recommended if you decide to take only one lens although the 10-20 should not be left at home.

If it was me, and it's not, I would only take the Tamron ( I can't believe I am saying that). You want to , travel right, travel lite.
If you must take a second lens (which I do not recommend), it would be the great Nikon 10-20 DX for church and building interiors .
Of course, when I am on a travel destination, I only take my Sony HX99, has a ZEISS 24-750 mm lens and built in flash, can take pano shots and low angle shots.
Good luck and keep on shooting until the end.

We're scheduled for a month-long trip to Scotland for Puffins in May and Iceland in early June, taking ONLY my 8-18mm (street, landscapes and distilleries & 12-100mm (OM System) for puffins and landscapes. Traveling light is the key in my case...also taking a small, compact additional camera, Sony rx-100, as a backup, never know when you might need it and besides, it gives the wife something to carry Your 18-270 should cover about 80-90% of your need, a 10-20 would cover the rest. Cheers John, enjoy and have a great trip.

18-70 or 18-270. The landscapes are incredible.

18-270mm= 27-405mm equivalent focal
10-20mm= 15-30mm equivalent focal
You need both for Scotland, especially the 15-30mm

A year or so ago, I was mulling over images from vacations and workshops from the past. I don’t remember the numbers, but the vast majority of images were in the 24-70mm range and not just because it’s my favorite lens (even tho it is). Because over the last 10 years of traveling, I’ve taken along various combinations of cameras and lenses. If it’s versatility you want, by all means, the 18-270 will give you that. And if you’re generally pleased with results from that lens, then that takes care of your question. But, if the long end of the lens is rarely going to be used and you have a pretty good grasp of when that is, I’d also take the 18-70, just because I’m assuming it’s a better lens for the focal lengths it covers than the 18-270.
