There seems to be a difference of opinion on whether to use 18% gray card or white card to set custom white balance. Which is correct?
It comes with a flash controller that I assume goes on the camera hot shoe. I'm really new to all this, so I may be totally disappointed. But I can send them back to B&H if necessary. Probably should have called and talked to one of their experts.

My Canon 6d does not have a built-in flash. I only have a 430 EX II and a 270 speedlite. Does anyone know if the 270 can be used on the 6d as a master to the 430 EX as a slave? Thanks in advance.
I set my Canon 7d to live view and got a message stating that "the image cannot be magnified on live view." This happened on several attempts. I've used live view on many occasions with this camera; don't understand what happened. Was in aperture priority mode using a 100-400mm lens. Any suggestions?

I am shooting a lot of live view now because of bad eyesight, and batteries are being eaten up. I have a Canon 7D. B&H sells the 7D battery LC-E6 for $67. I just saw some LP-E6 batteries on Amazon for just $25 with the claim that they fit the 7D. Do you think it is safe to buy the cheaper batteries? I'm on a tight budget, but don't want to risk harming the camera.

The AV mode on my 7d appears to be gone. Shows up as 00 no matter what. Canon help is closed for the weekend, of course. I'm wondering if it is the camera or if maybe I hit a wrong setting. Have been shooting for an hour or so, and it suddently disappeared. Thanks in advance.

I downloaded them onto Zoom Browser EX. Under each RAW file it says to display original image. I click on that and it turns it into a tif file. I save it as a tif, but then it doesn't show up when i re-open the photos that i took todayl Unable to search for it. If you haven't guessed, I'm not very savvy on this, but I do have LR5 and Photoshop CS5.
I took some photos in RAW today. I converted a couple to tif, so I could email them. But now they are missing from the shots I took. Can anyone help?

Looking for recommendations for headlamps for night and low light photography. I have macular degeneration and need light to see camera functions. I have magnifying glasses, but light is a necessity as well. I'm sure there are others with this problem who have found solutions. Thanks in advance.
