Cotton Carrier Skout or one of their other products. Top notch quality and they carry heavy loads quite easily and in comfort.

Agreed. I've been using Cotton Carriers for years, and never need a strap. Take them hiking, skiing and where ever I go. The system works great!

I use an awesome company in Kent, WA. I do most of my work electronically then they ship the calendars to me. Pricing in under $10 for 150 calendars. We do a proof for color corrections. I can customize my date pages to put in holidays that are important to nurses. I've been using them for over 10y. It's a small team and the focus on taking care of their customers. I love them! I've tried Costco and others in the past but this group is consistently awesome. Their info is at https://allianceprintpromo.com/ To be clear, I don't work for them and don't have any relatives working there. I just use them for printing.

I'm thinking of getting this program to control my impulse to import everything into Lightroom. Just wondering if anyone's used it or is using it and is happy with it.I do practically all of my processing in LR Classic.

Have been using PM for many years, love it! It works, it's fast, I can rename, keyword and cull especially when I've shot a lot of sports photos. Support is also great, actual people on the other end.

While you can't change it into a TheVestGuy produces a great vest that can be customized. After years of using backpacks in the woods and on hikes a really prefer the vest.

[quote=Soul Dr.]I use the LCD screen to change a setting in the camera. Other than that the LCD screen stays off or flipped around on my cameras that can do that.
Almost all my shooting is done thru the viewfinder unless the shot is a very low one next to the ground or above my head.

Agree with Will. Although I will also use the screen when shooting photomicrographs. Much easier than the view finder. I am a viewfinder guy Bob

I use a number of various sized Hero Clips. Interesting back story you can read. It has a rotating hook on the clip. Very solid. My oldest is a couple of years old. Have not had one fail or wear out. Only for gear not climbing. Hero Clip Website: https://myheroclip.com/ they are also available on Amazon.

I also have the "Geotag Photos Pro 2" app installed on my phone, which is much easier to use. You just have to make sure that your camera and phone have the same time and date. You also would need the "Geotag" application for your computer.

I've been using Geotag Photos Pro 2. Works well. Recommend it.

I insure my gear with a rider on my USAA policy. My gear was stolen and they made good on it without rate increases and they did not increase our rates.

Hi All, Any suggestions for pulling my HEIC images off my iPhone. Photos converts to a .jpg. Coolmuster pulls the images but removes the date they were shot and all other metadata. I do really want to keep the metadata. Open to any suggestions and thanks in advance!

Fishing vest

This is the vest that I use. I have been hiking for the past week in California. Carrying two lenses, a camera with a macro and also a camera with a 200-400 mm lens on it. Not overly hot. Has the pockets that I need. I have used it previously possibly other vacations. And quite happy with it.

I recently purchased a Nikon 200-500 and have it mounted on a Nikon 7100 or Nikon D500. I'm headed for Wy in the early fall/Yellowstone and G. Tetons and have planned a few hikes. I would appreciate advice on backpacks or harness' that would help me carry the load on hikes. I've tried researching Kinesis/Cotton/others and a few general purpose backpacks. Haven't found a clear decision and thought I'd query the group. Anyone have a good solution? Also, I'll be packing a sigma 10-20 and a tamron 18-400 on the camera that isn't on the big lense. My wife will be toting the lighter one. Thanks for any advice.

I use a combo of a backpack with the Cotton system. Usually a strapshot on the left shoulder strap and then a belt holster (either the wanderer side holster or the belt). The pack is a MindShift. I like the Cotton Carriers as they are solid, last and I can quickly unholster the camera and shoot. The ability to do this has gotten me many photos I like. When my gear is in the pack it's protected, safe, and not ready for a quick shot. The Cotton Carrier system has great after purchase support as well.

Good shooting!

I have all of my insurance with USAA at this time. I want to insure all of my cameral equipment. Does anyone have esperience with USAA doing this and would you recommend them? What should I look for when getting this insurance?

I've had USAA for a very long time and last year had a large theft of my camera gear. They rapidly accepted and processed my claim. Can't say enough good things about them. I do have a rider for my gear. Plus I had/have a good inventory and receipts. I'd go with them.

Hi Anita, I've used Tamron long lenses for years. First the an 80-400 then a 150-600. I'm out in the woods and shooting in the neighborhood for birds in flight, perched, and other critters including elk. The lens was solid. Took exposure to some rain in stride and generally just worked. It does not however hold up to being dropped on a rock. Very happy with them and cost was reasonable. They are, like all these lenses a bit heavy but you can at times use a monopod, tripod or after some practice handhold which is what I did most. There is a 100-400 at Kenmorecamera.com (I'm not affiliated with them I just shop there) for $800 and the 150-600 is $1300. Best of luck and good shooting!
